  1. Just a word against Geico, they cancelled me because of my upgrades: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...geico+cancelled Good luck getting good coverage.
  2. My brother is running a 2006d to his 12" BL with no problems. He did get the sub hot during testing once (solid test tones for a while)- but his voltage dropped so low his truck shut off on him lol.
  3. I also had a ss-10k smoke as soon as I put power to it. Just my limited experience with the company, and with a different amp. I'm sure it would still be a beast at 12v, but with an MLA module and 5 alts your probably talking about very very limited voltage drop lol.
  4. Sorry to hear about this. They always say it gets better but it never does- and its always the good ones that have shit like this happen. Best wishes to you and the family- your a good guy for bailing the dad out.
  5. Tsunami made one with a wierd locking setup intead of screw down terminals. I can't find the model number but I know I've seen a few floating around online. I sold one a few months ago- they are pretty nice imo.
  6. I would not post this in the GP section, try general audio. A few shallow mount 10s would not be a GP imo.
  7. A 7k a piece you might want to wait for the SMD/AA sub, otherwise BTL all the way.
  8. Mine did. 5.7 yukon to 5.3 tahoe was a perfect match bolt pattern and plug wise.
  9. PS3 FTMFW. It's great being on a team with Chevyboy playing COD4, though he kicks my ass he's the friggin man at that game and brings the whole team up lol. I don't get to play too often, but you could join the club Get a used one thats backwards compatable. From my understanding the new ones can't play ps1/2 games and have much fewer usb ports.
  10. I'll buy your d3100s Would you be looking for working or bad amps- or both? There's a local car dealer who advertises "Get 3000 for your old trade in- drive it in or just drag it" lol. Just wondering because I have an old school American Pro class A/B 500x2rms amp that needs a bit of work.
  11. There is no comparison. Try nothing vs quite a bit with mechman lol. Iraggi's literally did almost no good at idle, while the Mechman alt keeps my stuff going with me walking around the truck instead of reving 2k+ out of it.
  12. YGPM. I should've read the title of the thread NIB lol. Could I get a shipped price to 29526?
  13. I ground each batt seperatly and then connect all - posts.
  14. My wife was 135 and 5' 7. She's in the 140s now but she's pregnant. I'd work with her to help her be happy with herself. I dated a girl who was 5' and when she passed 100lbs I thought she should get off her prozac and go back to being bolemic Lol. Just tell her to do it the healthy way so it stays off instead of slowing her metabolism down.
  15. Santa was good- but I still have no outlet- so I will send someone cash who can correctly diagnose a wiring error. Or if someone is local to Myrtle Beach I will pay you to fix it! I need this working. I'm about to call a damn electrician, watch it be something stupid I should've figured out all along lol.
  16. I tried the outlet tester I do have, as well as the dmm and the outlet tester wont light up at all in these outlets (again because there is no ground to even complete the circuit). That large bundle of 4 wires in the center of the box tests no power- all of those are neutral. When checking with a DMM the ONLY wire with power entering the box is the constant I have labeled, everything else has no power switched or not. The outlets in question are on the same breaker as the entire upstairs I'm going to check the insualtion real quick, but like I said the white wire on the right that enters the center bundle and all of the wires in the center are testing no power. Thanks for the replies guys.
  17. So my house is old. It was built in the 1940s, and is definitely a fixer upper. I'm replacing all the old ceiling fans, and went to replace the one in my master bedroom when I got interrupted mid wiring. I removed the old one to find out I had to replace the electric box in order to fasten the new fan in, and disconnect all the wires. I took a picture but in real life it's a mess what they have going on, so I drew a sketch up to represent what I put back together. I'm 95% sure it's how things were before, but now a few outlets don't work along one wall in the same room, so I figure I did something wrong. The first note in red says "120v constant", the 2nd down says "120v switched". The lowest one says "must be connected to constant for switch to work". The off color wiring is so old the jacket is braided cloth- all the same color. It had to be wired this way in order for the ceiling fans to operate properly, the only problem I'm having is like 3 outlets not working now. I checked all the breakers, but I only flipped the one off where I was working. I tested with a wireless electric sensor and there's definitely power going to the outlets- but after some testing with a DMM it appears both the neutral and hot wires have power going through them at all times. I can see where this would be a problem but I don't know what I should try switching around since there are MANY options, and I'm really really tired/drained to think about it any more tonight. Any advice is appreaciated. Thanks so much in advance.
  18. I wouldn't do it any other way. Kingsuv is on the right track there- I'm going to find a rot next time Our dog (they named him Kenny and we never changed it) is a lab/rot mix. We actually got him 'on sale' from the humane society because they were about to put him down since they had him over a year. Great dog- smart, loyal, gained 15lbs in the last year- he was so skinny when we got him. Tons of great animals get put down because they aren't pure bred, but they're normally healthier/better pets anyway imo.
  19. I've used about a dozen types of wire, including the knu and kicker flex. I like the kicker flex the best out of any of them I've used recently.
  20. I've got cash in hand, I need some batteries. I already bought a few, but more are always a plus- They must be in good condition and not really old or anything. If you're selling them for a reasonable price I'll buy 'em, just email me at [email protected]. Thanks.
  21. I know the 18s are available Feb, is there an official release date of the 22s? Lol, I hate to nag- my new build is going off that so just wondering when to start.
  22. would have liked to have made it but the truck is empty now Congrats to everyone.
  23. Mine never went into protect. You can drop them really low at 1ohm, but they will most likely smoke before protecting. Keep the voltage above 13v, a few good batteries and a good alt should do you good.
