I get so pissed at people driving by my house with their music up. I've got a new box with amps and subs I've never cranked up because there's no where near me I wont bother people. I'd rather suffer in that way than hurt others or upset them, and only one of my neighbors knows I have subs because he saw me building the boxes. It's infringing on their freedom and right to peace.

No offense intended bro, but you might want to read around before jumping into a setup like that. From your last comment I take it you don't have a lot of experience and 7000rms is a lot to just throw at a sub and expect it to be loud with no issues. 30hz tuning will hopefully get you exactly that, 30hz tuning. Meaning it should sound good on rap screwed music and such. I would get the BTLs personally (I did). They sound good and can handle the power nicely in the right enclosure. I would figure out how much room you have to work with, and what you're willing to give up (like building a wall and not being able to carry pasengers). Measure the area you want to put the subs in, hxwxl and then we can help with that as well.

I have a hifonics 2006d 2000x1 @ 1 ohm 1200x1 @ 2 ohm 650x1 @ 4 ohm People say they're a bit over rated, but that should put you right in the area you want I ran an Alpine type-x 12 with it @ 2 ohms wonderfully, and a BTL 18 pretty well @ 1ohm too. I can't find any f/s at the moment to try and figure out a good f/s price, if you're intersted I'm sure we can work it out. I was thinking somewhere around 215 shipped.

I'm pretty sure I can whatever type I want, just order time might vary some. I'm just not too sure of the different sounds I'd get from each brand/type. I have the 5.3 v8 if it matters. I'm really going for sound and possible fuel efficiency if any benefit.

I've got 2 local shops that will install dual exhaust with flowmasters and a turndowns under my bumper (that's what I want) for $3-350. I don't care for it to be loud, just sound very very deep/growly if possible. I'm keeping my cats for now, if that matters. Only problem I have is everyone and their mama has flowmaster, and I've been wondering what the difference would be with borla or magnaflow? You better build a really sturdy box if you plan on attatching amps to it. I did, but my box moves less than anything else in my car.

You can use those amps but realistically it sort of defeats the purpose of getting the most high end sub Fi makes. A BL or SSD would probably handle those amps fine. Not knocking you bro- just saying unless you plan on buying better amps you could have 4 18s in there much quicker with similar results with a lower line sub. 2000 in sub vs 1200 in sub. *also with those amps I'd just get a mla mod and a h/o alt with a few batteries. You'll need much less electical upgrades with <4000rms than you would 8000+.

Good luck- I'm very sure a durango is smaller than a tahoe and I know how hard it was to get 20ft net without making it a 2 seater. Is that what you have in mind? The more alts and batts the better, figure if you're doing 8000rms an MLA module and 2nd/3rd alt would be nice. Again as many batts as you can realistically fit- 3,4,5, whatever.

I have a Hifonics 2006d that I bought new a few years ago. Never gone into protect, and never used below 1 ohm. I'll get some pics up of it now in my house, but here's one that shows how it looks even now: A little dusty from not being used, but that's it: I think there are some really tiny scratches on the crome end caps- but nothing real bad looking. I'm the first and only owner, and I believe I still have the box and remote gain control. I really want to put an Alpine Type-x in my home theater- it's rms is 1000, but a plate amp that will do 300-1000rms at 4ohms or so would be great. How much do you make an hour at your job before tax? How much is your time and experience worth to you? Charge what seems fair. You make 10 an hour but think you're worth 20 charge somewhere in between.
