  1. this doesn't seem like a very scientific poll.... "hit hardest"? my laser hatch peaked at 52Hz, but was much more impressive playing in the 20Hz range.
  2. the only country that calls it "sodder" is America, so feel free to call it "soldering" like us normal folk.
  3. why would you bother upgrading the alternator if you're only running a stock battery, and 2kw anyway?
  4. bass boost doesn't gain you anything. if the subs weren't as loud as you wanted before, then turn the gain control up, not the bass boost.
  5. wtf is that noise?!? it sounds like they recorded it over a telephone?!?
  6. whether he bridge the amp and run the coils in series, or run 1 channel to each coil, he'll have the same power anyway.
  7. no, he says "shit, my dick" as he's resting the sub on his lap and its 1 minute into the video for anyone who can't find it half way through...
  8. all those soft parts are pretty much the same as the Mach5 audio subs, which are some of the cheapest 18inch subs available, rated at 1000watts of course.
  9. nope. gains seen on those cheap meters generally don't result in gains on the termlab.
  10. im still confused. fuse holder by batt or amp? (on the aq2200d) as per my above post, fuse it at the battery. as close as possible, 2 or 3 inches if you can manage it. and do i fuse it at the amp to? nope

  12. eh? the rear battery to amplifier cable needs to be fused as close to the rear battery as possible. if you're fusing 3 feet from the rear battery, you're leaving 3 feet of cable to short out and start a fire, or in the event that the cable comes loose from the fuse holder in the event of an accident. you need to fuse the rear battery to amplifier cable as close to the battery as possible.
  13. glue some 45 degree bracing into the corners, using wood glue!
  14. this is why I run my 1ohm stable amps at 0.5ohm daily.
  15. the guy clearly has no clue if he refers to them as 16ich subwoofer, and says they're quite rare in car audio? wtf?
  16. yes you can have ports on different sides of the box, it will effect the output somewhat, but probably not enough to notice. I still don't know what you're talking about "i need 12inches of port could i have 2 6" long ports on each side of the box" if you're saying you need a 12inch LONG port, then no, you can't use a 6inch LONG port on each side of the box.
