  1. probably.. just need the measurements really.. lol
  2. as far as i know d2 or d4 options.. might be some sort of upgraded spider pack kevin could throw in. really not sure, i asked him to set up a sticky on recones a while back and he never did it.
  3. cant be pushed out unfortunately, they have the latch/swivel style. and i can tell there is more pressure on the passenger one because when both are open, even with the port firing drivers side, the passenger window flexes about 1in (.5in each way), and the drivers does about .5 or less total. but i might have to use the adhesive. pressure loads opposite of port direction.. drivers side port loads passenger side. passenger side port loads driver side.
  4. wont fit my 2009 honda but one of the 95-99 guys will like it i think.. maybe hatersgonnahate.
  5. this is what i got back from Singer Hello Cody The upgraded unit that I offer for your vehicle is a 185A. This alternator is a direct bolt on design for your vehicle and would be plug and play (the factory plug would go into it like the OEM unit) This alternator includes my overdrive pulley to boost the idle output (this will spin the alternator faster at low RPMS to boost idle output by around 30 to 40A more (120-130A idle @ 800rpms). The total price on this unit shipped w/ my lifetime warranty on labor is 419. 6. From: Matthew Young [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2012 8:38 PM To: 'Cody' Subject: RE: Alt for 2009 Honda Civic Cody- The biggest we can go and still have it be durable, and make decent low RPM output is 160 amps. We sell that unit for $349, and it comes with a 2 year warranty. Regards, Matthew Young (865)522-6166 ext 204 [email protected]
  7. Did you call mechman? They don't have the recent online and they just made a new 320amp for my scion tC. Dc I heard was a tad ahead in technology emailed them direclty.. this is what i got back Unfortunately, we haven’t developed a Billet unit for that application yet. When we do, it will probably be around $649. Billet housings are EXPENSIVE to machine. Matthew Young (865)522-6166 ext 204 [email protected] this was august 1, 2012
  8. yes this was the question raised in our discussion. with the proper tension on the belt, would a 270 amp alt be too hard for a 650 rpm 1.8L engine to turn properly?
  9. Can you define belt wrap for me? I just want a full answer and not have any more questions about belt slip lol. Basically just make sure it has the proper tension on it?
  10. Whut. I mean don't get me wrong, I love me some Wiz, but if I cared about lyrics I definitely wouldn't be listening to him, or much of any rap for that matter. But Smokin On (Snoop and Wiz) is probably my favorite so far, that or On My Level. THIS THIS THIS! i only listen to about 95% of my music because of the beat. why else do we have systems? we have them for the music!! shit if i wanted to listen to lyics i would put 15+ 6.5"s in my trunk and some super tweets.
  11. since its a later model civic like mine.. (2009) you will have no problem getting 3 cu ft out of the trunk.. basically load the subs facing forward toward the cabin, and pushed all the way against the trunk lid. center port or passenger side port if you dont care about numbers. its just me in my car so i put passenger side port so i load off my side of the car. 3500 watts your going to fall in love with the windshield flex. i run a sk-1500 on 2 skar vvx 12"s tuned to 32.. and my windshield is pretty bad lol. just a heads up since your on this topic.. deaden the trunk lid, and REAR DECK immediately!!!!!! they will be louder than your bass.
  12. clipping, voltage drop, bad wiring, bad amp, wired low.. etc etc.. when your doin 165db, shit goes wrong alllll the time ive noticed. Alright thanks for the info. thats not what happened in HIS case.. im not sure what did.. but when your that loud crap always happens.

  14. i use goo gone spray gel. spray on effected area. let sit 30 seconds. paper towel and elbow grease. soap and water to remove the left over goo gone. if you let tree sap sit for a while in the sun it will bake hard and will require you to use a nail or something that will not scratch the paint or ruin your clear coat.
  15. so a few of us honda guys got to talkin in pm and in our little thread about when our belts would start slipping. basically what we want to know is since DC power makes a 270 amp alt for our vehicle and no one else on the market even comes close.. would our belts slip on their 250 amp and 270 amp units? if no load is applied at idle then the load is applied at 2-3k rpm would we still get belt slip? if we rolled into the volume knob would the belt slip not be a factor?
  16. as long as they're inside and not in a humid/dry/hot/sunlight condition.. inside the house in the boxes is fine.. outside.. you will be looking at dry rot on the surrounds and heat damaged spiders i would imagine.
  17. brb getting conformation. 2 ga. http://www.maxxsonics.net/manuals/hifonics/pdfs/HifonicsBrutusBRZAmplifierManual.pdf
  18. cause i am 16 and gas is 3.80 a gallon.. and fried equipment is about $1,000.
  19. i run 80 amp alt big 3 done and a G51 stock battery with a whopping 310 cranking amps. sk-1500.1 amp tuned with 0db DD-1 (thanks carlos) drop to about 13.5 full tilt at 2,250rpm on the freeway doing exactly 69mph. as far as what kranny said, you could probably swing 2k-2500W with an ACCEPTABLE amount of voltage drop. after you get an aftermarket battery such as XS power, you should see around the 13V range IMO.
  20. yes, they were holding a heat gun point blank on the alt lol.
