Good idea to play with designs for now, you will need more port area. I have 2 -12's with a interchangeable port, tested a port with 11in^2/ft^3 and found it to be 4db lower than 13.5in^2/ft^3. Proper tuning is a huge difference.

For a small system they will be just fine, still quality. Thermal capabilities come with the Punch and Power amps. Also they are only 2ohm stable. Efficient but not as beastly as their more pricey amps. I personally have only used POWER amps, but my brother owns Punch and Prime.

Agreed, on the equipment list that is...2 badass 15's on a ton of power should get those numbers you want.

To elaborate just a pinch, they typically have far better components used in the crossovers for separates. ^ and as said multiple times, staging. Also if you have some form of signal processor it could allow you to do timing as well.

I am a student at Michigan Technological University and as such I spend the majority of my time here in Houghton, MI. Well to the ear it sounds like a good 145-147, I love it personally. I will post vids with accurate tl results after this upcoming weekend. I will also be fixing the pics on this thread.

As for deadening you should consider Audio Technix, it will get the job you need done and won't break the bank. Post pics when you get to working on it, interested to see results.

As for crimpers all i know of that do that size are radial crimpers and they arent cheap lol. We have them at the shop but that is because we use them often enough.

Also look into a cheaper deadener if possible. I suggest Audio Technix ever since I used the stuff. Second Skin is REALLY good too, I cant afford it though lol
