  1. yeah youre good then... always a good idea to keep on eye on the health of your subs...burn up subs can = burnt up lots more things lol like amps n what not
  2. if its not too much of a bitch to pull it out id go ahead and pull it.. if it is you should get ur reading from your speaker terminal that gives you an idea if somethings up.. id go ahead and give the sub a once over tho if i could if i was having your issues man
  3. check the coils on your sub individually make sure they are reading right....coil got smelly then this.. could be bad news bears cope not tho
  4. whats the best number you hit? and im well aware of what the subs like i talk to brian (sanitarium) almost everyday lol and im just curious on the number
  5. should work good in that truck..and i envy the room you have lol so much more than me so u should be able to fit em
  6. have to shop around but if you can fit 10's go for it..if not 2 sa 8's on something like an aq 1200 (or something comparable in power) would be a nice fit and not require any crazy electrical upgrades to run
  7. and not all trucks with work the same but porting to the side seems to work well in alot of single cab set ups.. his is an older style s10 and mines a 2001 f-150.. 2 completely different vehicles
  8. loudest i think hes ever been was a single dd 9510f on 2 sundown 2500's...did right at a 55 at the headrest i believe....not sure what hes running now only talked to em once were not friends or anything lol
  9. no need for pm's this threads bout single cabs... box is a little over 3 cubes tuned to 37 hz.... and tommyk told me to try this and its worked best for me so im sticking with it...to each their own edit: and tommy's the loudest single cab on the planet without a blow thru lol not everyone knows who he is so figured id clarify its what works alotta the time..if up worked for you then stick with it
  10. porting up doesnt yield better numbers trust me ive tried.... a 46.5 at 32 hz lol ill stick with my setup as is right now
  11. youre just gonna have to play around with your space and make the call honestly...and that # was by no means easy to get to lol took me alotta testing and tweaking to get there..im on bout my fifth box lol
  12. i run 2 of the aq sd 2.5 10's on a db drive 2k at the moment..but i have little to no leg room lol last time on the TL i did a 46.5 at the headrest.. best box positioning seems to be subs ^^^ and ported towards the side towards the passenger side..im using a single 6" aero but for 2 8's i would do a single 4" '
  13. couple 8's would work well... i have 10's in mine and have debated on 8's for the leg room..but just havent convinced myself to do it and am finally getting good results with the 10's lol
  14. menards, lowes, home depot lol
  15. short bus with a 4th order..prolly something like 12 18's most likely mayhems on somewhere in the neighborhood of 4k per sub.. and mids n highs firing out the side windows with some type of actuator so the windows would open up and BAM mids n highs everywhere
  16. disappointed troll is disappointed.... i was hoping for smoke j/k
  17. very true was just wondering how bad hes dropping exactly..
  18. what exactly are you calling bad voltage drop? 11?12? volts
  19. 6th orders are tricky to get right... that is the biggest draw back of them they take alotta experience in designing and testing to become good at....BUT if they are done right they can get NASTY loud but so can a regular ole ported wall when done right
  20. if you can get someone who knows what theyre doing to design you a 6th order by all means go for it.....but i will say this.... very few out there id trust to design one cause they seriously easily fall flat on their face lol see if you can get Ray to work you something up Edit: but in all reality id stick to a street box due to the simple facts its ALOT easier to build and you still got the back seats..which are for sure nice to have
  21. i dont know exactly what causes it but ill damn near guarantee it wasnt heat....give DC a call and see what they say Rusty good guy hell treat ya right
  22. heat didnt cause that.....thats a problem from the factory..it happens... they still under warranty?
  23. yeah wont work charging that high shit gonna start frying...and only way i know of is to run a second alt that is separate from your cars electrical system..would have to be a dedicated alt strictly for you system and separate alt for your car
  24. indeed...my favorite is when they ask you something and there really is no way of answering it without starting an argument or pissing them off...
  25. that was directed at Tonner Yok not you lol the 8's route is something i have contemplated for a while as well...beefy little 8's are awesome IMO
