  1. Easily^^^^ Those obsidians are great for the price, and those ma's would stand no chance
  2. Not the SMD Fish Chris. It's just a coincidence... But a very weird one at that!
  3. It is actually pretty straight forward. Just disconnect the battery before you do it. Should be no more than 3 bolts holding it in place. The trickiest part about doing it (for the first time) is getting the belt off, and getting your hand down into a cramped area. Not exactly sure where it is on your Monte though.
  4. But there's no titties, that's the fun part lol
  5. That's my current setup, just asking if I should should double up from the front battery, or add one directly from the alt.
  6. And I do work in the automotive industry and know how all of the components function btw, just looking for positive/negative aspects to be put into consideration.
  7. Good point... Fuck, very good point lol. I won't be doing this till tomorrow or this weekend, so I'll let the replies gather until I can decide on a definitive plan. Shorter wire = less voltage drop sounds very reasonable though.
  8. Hopefully this answers yours too man! Stay tuned in!
  9. So you're saying just battery to battery? Not a run from each?
  10. Pretty much.... Keep it running off the front batt, or add another run coming straight from the alt? That should be the main question at hand. Thanks for making it less confusing mike lol
  11. Exactly! I've read that a lot so far lol. I don't play with the car off. The car is my daily, so no need to pound with the car off.
  12. Yea.... I've read "you need an isolator" "you don't need one" and the arguments in between, but I don't use one now and both batts are fine. Currently wired only from the front batt to the back. Big3 all around. If I get mixed results from this thread, I'm just gonna run it from the alt to the back and leave the front batt alone.
  13. And yes I've read and searched and googled, but I just get the basic dual battery setup as a result. Plus the few jackholes that don't know what they're talking about.
  14. Any negative effects of having a run of 0ga running from the front battery and a run of 0ga running from the alternator to the rear battery? Properly fused of course.
  15. ^^^ Lol Rename the title to "check out the tits on this......" And check back often.
  16. Yea, I'd say Decaf pretty much nailed it lol. Thanks Decaf.
  17. Ahhh I gotcha. I came across the same thing with mine too. Tuned it to where it started indicating clipping, backed off a tad and let it play. No problems for me so far.
  18. I tuned mine with the bass knob all the way up... Then I went and set all my gains and whatnot, so no matter what, if I turn the knob all the way up while my head unit is at it's max unclipped volume, I know I'm not clipping.
  19. Until you tune it, just take it easy with the selenium's. Decide your own "full tilt", whatever you're comfortable with, you should be safe.
  20. Biggest drawback I've seen so far is a lack of rearview mirror. Second is gas mileage. Third is low ride height.... primarily for the non suv class though.
  21. Exactly sir. exactly. Save the eq for a rainy day. Dd-1 is well worth it. I've got the eq, then got my dd-1 for Christmas, and tuned it all accordingly. Minor adjustments on the eq.I mainly wanted to see where my h/u and both amps clipped at... Since my kenwood h/u clips at 36, I can tune my amps and still feel safe adjusting the eq and not go higher than 25, but still be reasonably loud.
  22. Shopping list, according to budget.... Eq will tie you over, dd-1....best investment for the buck. It would eliminate the need for an eq at the moment since you can accurately measure the level of the unknown amp.
