  1. I lol'd hard at the scientific explanation. Too many variables that make that hypothetical very flawed and inaccurate so in the end if all else remains the same Cone Area is king so 2 12's. EDIT P.S. The enclosures between a single sub setup and dual sub setup would not be equal.
  2. Contemplating selling a complete budget minded system for someone who needs it. I wonder if there would be any interest there as it is just collecting dust.

Lol, i am thinking more on the lines of a basshead on a budget this would be my FLI system its just been collecting dust and i have enough stuff for a complete build minus wire.

Still would be a great start for someone looking for a decent system!

Thats what i figure. Subs speakers and 2 amps could get someone on a tight budget playing just like that. All they would need is a wiring kit.

  3. I have 2 pairs of FLI 1" Tweets $20 shipped per pair or $30 shipped for all 4 plus paypal fees. Specs listed here: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23960_FLI-Audio-COMP1.html. The ring around the tweet is painted beige to match my interior.
  4. Thank you sir zx1000.1 btw Let me know how you like those goldwoods and how much power they can really handle (vids of the destruction you plan to do to on one set).
  5. Hook the amps up to the EQ and don't worry about the bass knob, the Clarion has a knob for that. If you are using a DD-1 when you tune your amps then you would turn the bass knob on the eq to halfway and either use Track 3 (Max SQ) or Track 5 (Blend of Quality and Loudness), I typically don't use Track 7. All the bass knob does is allows you to turn the bass up and down to your desired preference. It does not adjust the gains on the amp it simply works within the limits set with the gain on the amp. Make sure bass boost remains all the way down or off on the amp there is no need for it.
  6. you're just letting everyone know that you have stuff for sale man hahaha, jk I would be doing it too. I don't think I'm going to buy any midbass for right now but thanks anywayhow many posts to you have to have in order to sell? I have a sony HU and 10 gauge amp wiring kit that I have no use for :/ if someone is looking for something I might have might as well let them know. The buyer gets what they want and I make a sell sounds like a win win to me. Plus free advertising is free.
  7. Check out my for sale thread I have some single dins for sale and will be adding more soon.
  8. Bro you are preaching to the choir but round here Kicker runs shit. I am trying to talk him into running something else but he hard headed for the most he will spend but even he can't justify 400 per on some Kickers. I figured I would give the forums a shot to see what happens if not then back to the drawing board but for now I need to see what I can find, if anything.
  9. Yep 430 new 265 for the opened box ones but they only have 2 left of the open box
  10. Looking for 4 15" CVX's for a customer. So far they are sold out everywhere local and for those who do have them they want an obscene amount. Lemme know what you guys got.
  11. I have 4 1" FLI Audio Tweets installed in my car 2 in my doors and 2 in the c pillars and I am trying to see if any of you have any tips for how I can cover up these holes the easiest. I am preparing to re do my doors and I will be fiberglass them and I was thinking I could just fiberglass the hole but my issue would become how to make it blend. Then I figured I could just wrap that entire area in a vinyl but I don't know if the hole imprint would be noticeable. As for the C Pillars I can do just about anything because nothing will be going back there with them (atleast it's not in my plans right now.).
  12. ^This as a quick inexpensive solution but if you would like to do it right then adding a component set (separate tweeter and mid) and a mid bass would be a better route. You would need an electronic crossover or an amp that is active capable to achieve your goal in dialing in all the right frequencies. Not to advertise my for sale thread (eventhough I am doing it lol) but I am selling some Kicker SSMB8 midbasses if you're interested.
  13. Honestly if you have the money to drop on the burban just spend that shit on getting the Blazer in shape. No need to waste money and start from scratch if you have a vehicle that runs. You're talking about not only buying another vehicle and fixing it up but also dealing with unforseen problems on a truck that old. I would just keep the blazer and spend the money on getting it in shape.
  14. My Tahoe is just as bad I only drive it when I really really need to aside from that its the Civic FTW. Junior, if you're okay with that find out how many miles and check to see if it has ever had engine trouble. Also $1750 is on the high side for something that appears to be straight stock.
  15. Point taken well if you decide to run Crescendo and are interested I have the XST2's bought BNIB off a guy on CACO a month ago and decided to run all one brand of a different brand so no need for em. I was unable to make those Pyramids sound good but I wasn't running active and I didn't have something as nice as a 3sixty.2 lol. All I had was a Clarion crossover and eq; for the life of me I couldn't get rid of the ringing in my ears. If you can then you my friend got one hell of a deal on em.
  16. You sneaky sum bish. Nice tactic on getting what you want while staying within the params. I would be interested to see how this sounds though, I am gussing you will kerf the box to curve it? Anyhow this is a cool idea.
  17. Can anyone else confirm this? never really ran Fi and I got this 10 months used so im just a lil worried lol They will always read less then they should, how much less is iffy but it will always read under.
  18. I haven't hooked it up yet. It is sitting in my room while I piece together my rebuild. I refuse to do it half assed so I am working on my electrical right now. I will report back soon but the Rubicon is a beast of an amp. I had it on 2 L7's (before I sold them) and they were getting their asses handed to em.
