    Figure out the amp draw of the inverter and use an appropriately rated relay. By using the relay you wont need 8 gauge wires for the toggle switch.

    Thanks for that info Nathan. Would my stock alt be sufficient to charge the D3400 and a D1200? i will probably purchase that combo sooner if i dont have to upgrade the alternator. its been freshly warrantied so its in great remanufactured condition.

    I have a 91 s10 blazer. I have big 3 and a stock 105 amp alternator. My sound system is less than 3000 Watts. What batteries do you recommend for under the Hood and auxiliary?

    I have a pair of 901 BOSE speakers. Each cabinet has an 8 or 10 inch woofer in the front and 8 4 inch drivers in the rear. All of which have extreme dry rot on their surrounds. I've thought about re-surrounding them. They are really old.
