HOW MUCH POWWAAA!?!
armykyle1 replied to cosmo10292's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Run that bitch at .5ohm! You should be more than ok with that many batts lol. Honestly you could get away with less imo. Stick the D3100's up front and throw XP3000's in the rear Maybe buy the 10k? -

Thank you, I decided on the 370 elite. Nick from IA said he'll get with you soon. Can't wait! Thank you again. I think the two classes I'll be running should be unlimited alts though. I think street beat 3 and lower have limits.

That's true lol. Maybe a reversed mounted alt

I wish there was a dual alt bracket for this thing. The front of the engine is very unfriendly.

500-1000 is where it has to be.

Well I have a $400 credit from that contest, but I have to do this from the ground up, I lost a lot of stuff when I flipped my car, so money is super tight. They might be able to do that, but I really plan on doing a lot of demoing with this build. The more I think about it, I think the elite is the way to go.
-
As some of you know, I'm getting ready to start a big build, now I have to pick an alt. I'm trying to pick an alt for my 4.3 blazer. I've ruled out the S series all together pretty much. Not low idle friendly. The truck idles @500rmp after warm up. Here in usaci you can only turn 1200rmp while you run, so I'm leaning to the elite 250 and G series 270. If can come up with the cash in a timely fashion, I'll go with the 370 but this is doubtful. I guess I'm debating if the extra 20amps on the top end is worth the less output with low engine speeds.

They may have gotten M4 and M4a mixed up. That makes sense. -

Kyle first off, you funny calling me retarded, as I've forgotten more then you will ever know about car audio, and I mean that. Second I wanna say his name was brad, I believe but I really dont remember, he opened his shop back up in OK city shortly after leaving dd, after all there change stuff. Really I can care less what you think, when you do something that impresses me enough to value your option then I'll ask. But carry on with what ever you think you know. hey jeff , since you have had both 9k and 10k , both on a 12v system. what numbers did u clamp out of each ? Heck, I've never had the 9.0s, I had the American bass 1100.1 which is very similar to the 9.0, the most I remember seeing out of those was 12-13k rising above 3ohm strapped. The only clamp I have done on the 10.0s what 15k strapped rising to 2.8ohms dropping to 13.2. The 10.0s however seem to make more power and is alot easier on my electrical fully tilt. Full tilt bass boxing runs tho it still will drop to 11.8 with the engine tacked at 2k If the shoe fits, wear it. Why don't look into the amps instead of talking out of someone else's ass. They're clearly not the same amp, maybe that's one of the things you've forgotten. I'm not claiming to be a know it all, never have, never will. But I do know this. Like I said, if you believe that, you're retarded and wrong. Just do simple research on it. I'll look into thia Brad character too... I've talked to a few people at DD and never talked to a Brad, normally Kevin... Sorry if you think I'm putting you down, but you're wrong on this... -

where the fuck did you get that from? Lets see here M4 27.625L x 9.13W x 2.5H dual inputs NS1 ] 12.20(W) x 2.68(H) x 27.56(L) inches triple inputs AQ3500 25.875in (L) x 9.5in (W) x 2.625in (H) 2" shorter Go look at gut pics and see where the 2" is missing. I've handled both the AQ and DD and they are very different lol. fuck fixing this post... -

If the battery rests at 11v, then yes it's a bad idea. Just because you dropped down to 11.5-11.4 doesn't mean your battery is dead by any means. It will recover... I'm getting at this amp is more suited for 12v use than more others since isn't not optimized for higher voltage. I'm not talking about running 10-9v.... Please tell us what employee you talked to, I want to know his name lol. If you honestly think an M4a is an AQ3500, you're flat out retarded. I honestly mean that too. M4a's are known to clamp 8-9k if you can keep rise low enough. Saying a AQ3500 is an M4a is like saying a DC5k is the same as a DC10k lol -

Not everyone has the ability to add 32 batteries to their setup. There's a few classes with limited batteries... If a 7.5k does 6k and 10k does 6k with roughly a volt different, then that's pretty sad. I know it's an example but still. You should still get a fair amount of power out of the 10k based on general electrical guide lines... M4a does 5k @ 12v, which is highly under rated, so this being an amp based around 12v power, you would think it would be ok in the 11s since you can't run it in the 16s and 18s... Unless n/a on the page means something else... I can see your somewhat defensive about this so don't take this as a challenge on the amplifier as I was very happy with my DC5k. -

I'm not saying below 11v, just that 11v should still be safe operating range. So what's the sticker price? -
