SS, damilifer has absolutely no smell. Easy to install and stops rattles and flex really well. Watch out for the foils, it's misson is to cut you, wear gloves. ha ha.... Seems to stick great I wouldn't want to try and talk it off. BTW my order included Speaker Tweeker which work. My mid bass is prominent now, great product.... Built my 6th box for my DC XL12 crazy right? Wannad to try alot of different boxes. Well most of the boxes built had shine in one area or anther. The 5th one was great for rock music had tons of punch but the sub was choking. The 6th sounds great on music and crushes the lowes.... Got the windshield wiper blades boncing off the windshield. 2001 Frontier EXT with the box directly face drivers seat. And FTW 3 3inch 27in in long ports... I'm in LOVE DC FTW

OK, I know the XL12 has a mounting depth of 7in. But how much space behind the sub for cooling is needed? This will be my 3rd box I've made for the sub the second one was perfect for the sub, but not me an far as space goes in my truck. Man, I love this sub, thing is a beast. I think maybe I just like making the boxes. ha ha
