  1. My simple MB Quart FX1.600 has running great for 6 months, never had any problems with it, and it's a very good beginner amp.
  2. Always thought it was the XP series that shouldn't go under the hood, but it's making me want to reconsider an S3400 over the D3400 for future electrical upgrades since I live in Florida, where regular batteries only last 3 years due to heat.
  3. Always thought "s" series was the same as the "d' series but built to take heat when racing
  4. Yeah, I'd have to agree about the Infinitys, they are too damn bright, I don't like either their Car or Home audio gear.
  5. My $9 Focal mids from parts-express sound amazing, and they get pretty loud for being 8 ohms, and on headunit power.
  6. You can always get the components, but replace the tweeters with a different one.
  7. I've heard C2's, and ZR's, and they both sound terrible. Too damn bright
  8. You could make it looks like windows classic to see if that helps, think my dad told me the videocard doesn't work well in a virtual machine, I know he runs 2 to keep himself organized.
  9. Cablguy, you're my inspiration for sound quality after hearing your vehicle in person, though I realized that my tweeters were angled towards me, and not the windshield, making them a little harsh, and I messed up on the a-pillars, though that gives me reason to learn how to fiberglass, and redo them nicely.
  10. Umm, you can get the Skar 2500 for $799, and the SAZ 2500 for $815 at SSA Audio The only people who actually pay retail are rich or uninformed people
  11. Well, here's the result, driver side a-pillar got fucked up due to being too brittle, and passenger side turned out alright, and I didn't realize the tweeters couldn't go inside, I really need to learn how to glass but for how bad it looks, it sounds freaking amazing, love the sound stage I'm getting, thank you guys for the tips and advice.
  12. Agreed, none, if it's not circle shaped (excluding planars), it's not worth bothering with, you can actually fit a tweeter and a 6.5 inside the shape of the 6x9 anyways.
  13. Well, I actually did the testing with my tweeters, which are Tang Band 25-302SH, one test on the dashboard, and the other test holding it in the a-pillar location, along with the help of my friend, and we both agreed on the a-pillar location because we both felt the sound surrounded us and had more detail, while on the dashboard, we felt like the sound was just coming from the dashboard, though I do have to say it was harsh on the a-pillar location, but only harsh songs like the beginning of Pink Floyd - Time, and Hardcore, on the dashboard, it sounded a bit dull, by the way, these are neutral tweeters, which is my favorite type of sound anyways. The a-pillars pic will be posted soon, just need to wait for the epoxy to settle in since 15 year old heat drenched plastic is brittle, so had to fix a few things, but it's coming along nicely.
  14. Yeah, I'll try the dashboard 1st, and see if the a-pillar location is better to my ears. I'll post results after I'm done, which should be done today if the rain doesn't persist.
  15. Alrighty then, I'll try that out, thank you guys.
  16. So something like this, cause I've heard some tips that having the tweeter on the a-pillar can produce better imaging, but I wasn't sure of the height.
  17. Before I hole saw my new tweeters(yes they fit) into them, I'd like to know the best height on the a-pillars to put them at. I was thinking headrest level, but I'm not sure.
  18. I use pieces of wood and mdf on top of my box so it holds to the reardeck by having a tight fit, and it works really well.
