i like my kickers they get loud as shit but im debateing if i wanna switch em out with my polk db's for a while to see what diff there is, i had those dbs hooked up to my home stereo and they got loud as hell and had killer midbass and was 6&1/2 to, but i got em for the cheap tho lol,

what size? when those z's first came out i heard em at best buy and the 12's sounded pritty good imo for such a little watt sub, i think there 300wmax or so, and punch z=p1, punch he=p2, punch hx2=p3, and power he2=t1, power hx2=t2? is that what the newer onces replaced? the old ass punch speakers wanged, but these new p1-p3 with plastic cone look to brittle or somethin, not knockin rf just the older subs looked tougher

the thing i dont get about bandpass boxs is there so many diff designs, ive seen soem with ported back of sub and sealed front, and sealed back of sub and ported front, then ported front and rear of sub, then rear of sub ported threw front of enclosure then front of enclosure ported also(i think its a 4th or 6th order bandpass, i wanna try one but i dont want to mess it up, but i dont see why a bandpass wouldn't be a good idea, its just when that sub starts hammering the low lows will it unload inside the box? and are u gunna put plexi glass in it also? it would be sick doin a 4th or 6th order bandpass with plexi top ina suv would look tight as hell, but anyways if it dont work out u can always build another box?

wouldn't tuneing it higher make it play higher tones? ied do around 35htz, i think the one mtx showed me to build for my 5500 15 was @ 38htz witch doesnt play lows worth a shit as i kno it would, ima halfto mess with it to see what i can do

lol, ive done that befor, ur sub amp has a bad ground and ur groundin threw ur rcas threw ur headunit, try re grounding ur sub amp and see if that fixes it cause u can unhook ur ground wire and the amp will still power on just wont work right, ied try that, that might be were ur noise is comein from, and good luck

i got 4guage for my mids n highs amp, nothin wrong with over kill man, and helps get current to em and might fix it, my ground noise went away when i switched to my 860

x2 neon isnt the best for under a car, ied get led's cause neon tubes bust to easy and leds dont pull as much current and u can get multi color kits also pritty cheap, and can get lights to flash to the music also, try www.streetglow.com for lights or www.oznium.com for assesories also, hope this helps

oh, and if u want a good amp for those subs ied get a kicker 750 or somethin like that thats a mono amp preferbly 2ohm stable or so , now u can get a good 2channel amp and wire ur subs to 1ohm each channel or 2ohm each channel givin what ohm load speakers u got and just do a good 2channel and use the 4channel for ur mids n highs

how many ohm subs? dual 2ohm prolly, try wireing each coil to each channel like left subs dual 2ohm u can wire each channel to 2ohm and that might fix it cause most 4channel amps like my sony is a 2/3/4 front 2 channels are high pass and rear is lowpass bridged also, and front n rear can be high pass also just diff settings, i would try adjusting settings and how subs are wired in box maby a wire came loose, now if there dual 2ohm u can get 4ohm each side or 1ohm each side, and make sure ur box is devided cause if it aint it can be sendin mixed signals makein the subs push/pull on one another, i would look at wireing and make sure, most amps have 1/2 red n white, then 3/4 red white, or so on, make sure u bridge the left + of channel 1, and right - of channel 2, and so on to bridge, and i would play around with settings, or like rosco said most but not all have a switch u can set to switch from 4channel to 2channel i would try that also, and can u take pics of ur amp and subs so we can get somewhat of a idea on what ur asking? hope this helps

i got a deh 16 faceplate from a headunit my buddy gave me he hooked up backwards so if u still have this forsale or w/e i'll take it, could use it for somethin i guess but i kno i got a faceplate for it

what ohm stable is that sony amp? i might run it to my 15's in my geo, and is $100 as low as u can go shipped?

i got 2 mtx 6000 8's dual 4ohm in my truck for midbass but they hit lows like nothin ive seen befor for an 8 but it takes a big box to do so tho lol, 8's in the right box sound better than a 12 in my opinion just dont over power em, and if there goin in ur truck ied atleast devide each sub to is own chamber, i made a box for mine just for fun and they sounded ok but like shit ina non devided box, ied do atleast 1cf for each sub tho sealed, ied do a downfire box or make somethin custom with teh cubby holes and put an enclosure down in it and put amps on front and maby port out the top or so, but theres this also, lets say u got 4 8's with 200rms goin to each thats 800watts for those and they pritty loud with that but then u have this were u can have 2 12's with 500-800rms goin to each and get prolly twice as loud but dont quote me on that, theres always a varable in car audio tho, but ied get wL<3bass's 8's he has, cause pete from ttb had 2 rlp 8's in a ported box and it burped a 149 in one of his vids befor they welded so i asume on music they would wang, so 8's are efficent on diff notes they play midbass as well as low bass also so they will help ur mid n high's than take away from em, and plus those sundown 8's look sick to, and a brotha need to keep from walkin everywere sence this gas is so damn expencive, hope this helps ur question man and good luck with ur truck
