i think this concept goes both ways, my kicker comp set is i/b in front doors, but my kicker coax are in there own lil sealed boxs in the back up above my subs n they sound killer now i tryed sealing off my mids in my geo n had hardly any midbass afterward so it totally depends im gunna redo my front doors, im gunna take out that lil speaker plate thing that the mid mounts to n cut out a duplicate of it in 1/4'' birch and make a lil sealed enclosure on the back side to seal it up n then put resen on it so the water in the door doesnt affect the wood n make it rot i would try it, couldn't hurt, if anything u can put a lil port in it lol but i get good responce on higher notes and lower ones in my setup even befor i put in the 8's

what kinda amps u runnin to your kickers? i got hella loud out of my memphis pr150.2 on a set of kx6&1/2 comps n kx6&1/2'' coax but now went with hifonics n seems to do nicely too, most of the time why mids n highs aint wut there out to be deals with amps wut u have ur hpf set to on ur amp? i get plenty midbass n midrange out of mine but there cones seam to be real brittle at times, but yet tough as shit too, i cracked the cone on my kickers but prolly cause my doors useto move alot till i put some deading on it but what kinda kickers are u runnin n what kinda amp, might just need a lil more tweeking to get it right, u can play bass threw mids n highs n not hurt em, it just depends on wut octave its at n what freq its xovered at too and wut kinda 6x9's u thinkin bout runnin? if ur leanin tward loudness ied run pa mids n highs vs 6x9's, in the place of a 6x9 u could prolly run 2 6&1/2's of a cheaper brand, pheonix gold rsd make soem killer sounding mids n highs, i put a set of the rsd coax in my friends car n she listens to alot of rock n rap n rnb n it sounds great on everything so thats somethin u can look into

could i see a vid or 2 of this setup playin music, i wanna see how that design sounds on somethin other than farts anyways great lookin 8 man, wished this was out back when crazy 8's was goin on u doin better than pete did with his rlp8's, i think he did a 149.9 with 2 8's but he melted the shit out of the vc's tho in the process i like small subs with big output on music, every sence i hooked up those soundstream 10's in my friends car ive never thought the same bout bigger subs anymore

if i was u ied build 5 sides of the box n just mold the front how u want with fiber glass, tim put nylon rope in his box to help strength wise, ied atleast try to get it 1/8 thick or more why i say he put rope cause it helps conture to curves n add structural integrity too, ied make some rings, n then put supports to em to back of box n then go from there just make sure its alteast 1/8 thick with a good base print, when i fiberglass i go fleace, resen, mat, resen, mat, resen, mat n then resen n should do fine, i unno how many layers but just make sure theres not many if any bubles in ur resen when it cures or u'll halfto build that spot up anyways good luck wit this

i have a 150amp fuse goin to stock 70amp alt for my big 3, and a 250amp fuse inline goin back to back battery, i have 3 300amp ma audio fuses that i can use, should i swap out the 250 for the 300? im only runnin 1000wrms and 2 mids n highs amps but ive yet to see a 200amp+ fuse blow, ive seen em melt alot but not blow anyone got pics of one blown? sry to thread jack but ive always wanted to kno these questions also ive always thought a fuse only let threw as many amps as wut it was raited for, but i unno if its true or not
