  1. I agree about not running 3k unless experienced. Just talking about the extreme results I've heard. I run mine somewhere around 1500 a piece give or take and they really move. I've also seen a pair run on 1800. That was plenty of power. I actually don't have any videos. Just finishing up my new build so I should soon lol.
  2. After playing around with a few brands when i got started i settled on American Bass. Where I get them, its the best bang for the buck. I've used/installed all of their woofers except for the vfl. The HD is one tough sub and took about 3k daily. My personal favorite is the XFL. Its a little lighter weight but in my opinion, and a few others who i know that use them, performs just as well. I've known someone who ran them at 3k a piece. Not sure what electrical. Never tried that much myself. All around American Bass is a good company with a good product. Obsidian is more budget oriented. I'm hoping to do a build with 4 of their 18s next summer just for kicks. Looks promising.
  3. You get what you pay for. I had used a pair of $5 junk RCAs just so i could do some playing around until my KNU came in the mail. The nice ones cleared up the hiss when the radio volume was at 0.
  4. 3.5k 5k 7.5k to 48317. Just looking to get some ideas thanks.
  5. 35 is pretty musical no doubt like everyone has said. Being on a boat should be interesting though. I'd love to see this when its done.
  6. I am clueless in this area. Honestly i thought that space was just the ported area. And in that case, front face all the way!
  7. That would be awesome. I was thinking the subs would be horizontal though. (like your picture) More room that way. And i had initially searched out your name to see the design in your picture.
  8. A better picture of the idea would be something like this where there is no front face with a port cut into it.
  9. Looking to get a relatively flat response curve while still being able to slam the lows. This is a daily driver.
  10. Alright as the title states i need help designing a 4th order wall. It will be going in a Jeep Cherokee. The dimensions of what i have to work with are 33" Hight by 42" wide by 46" deep. It will be for 4 American Bass XFL 15s on 2 3500s. I have NO experience with 4th orders. The idea i had in my head is similar to the picture below: I snagged this image from REIS300 I had this general layout in mind.... only for 4 15s nor 12 18s... Any help would be awesome.
  11. Shuriken batteries are pretty cheap. I've been told they are made by the same manufacturer as kinetic.
  12. & were they running below 1 ohm?
  13. How big did this fire get -___-
  14. Lol. Is that just a joke because it's Audiopipe, or have you heard of/seen it catch on fire?
  15. Alright so ive got 2 of these bad boys. They were right for the price. Now im curious to know what they can do realisticly? Anyone ever used one? Clamped one? They are rated with a 200 or 250 amp fuse (seems small for 3500..). SUPPOSEDLY a friend of a friend clamped one at 3450. As far as i know they are chinese boards. I know the 2010 line had some major issues that have been fixed in the recent models.
  16. looks to me like it doesnt have a good connection with the terminals? if they are push terminals put them inside, dont just touch them to the outside. hope that helps?
  17. Good stuff man. I can't bear to work without music in the garage
  18. They are decent for the price. 350 new. They can put out slot of power, but they are not overly clean. The AQX line is cleaner sound.
  19. I have installed the 12s in a friends car and use 4 of the fifteens myself. They are very good as far as SQ goes to my ear. They handle plenty of power too. Even the 12s get really low. The only thing with them is that they like alot of space and big ports. I would recommend the sub, but not recommend a sealed box.
  20. not sure exactly why the garage has 5 of the same post....
