I prefer to use lighter mat or cloth and do more layers...it lays down better, less bubbles, of course you lose time when you have to add extra layers but I don't personally mind.

Elmers is a good resin to use if your a beginner it will give you more work time and be more forgiving if you heavy handed with the hardener.

Tighten your window track/regulator.

4300k or 5000k those blue hids just look cheesy....

Also could be bad injectors with it miss firing and dropping cylinders....

This^^^ And if you want the best halogen bulbs get HELLA xenon look alikes they do an excellent job of producing more light and making it whiter.... stay away from the sylvania silverstar bulbs they absolutely suck...
