    I have a 2000 Mercury Sable and you need to purchase a new faceplate if you want to put a head unit in. I got mine from Metra for like 60 bucks. Also, my sable has four 6X8's, but yours might be different. The rest of your post......You need to give us a bit more info. You say u want that kicker, but you gave no budget or anything for the rest of it.

    No problem. Also, you should probably listen to Loslam and check your amp ground as well. My ground is to the chassis and the paint is sanded, all is good there. Sounds good. Now on to that big 3!

    Please explain this big 3 sir. There's your problem. There are topics on how to do it. If you do it correctly, just doing the big 3 with that amount of power(~1000rms) could fix your troubles.
