What's up everybody? I recently purchased a mechman 270 amp alt for my 2003 tahoe and I am trading it in this weekend for a 2009 chrysler 300. I was wandering if I can make the chevy alt fit on the chrysler because I really don't want to buy a new one. Or is there any way mechman can swap out the internals of my alternator to fit a chrysler? The 3.5 v6 calls for a 270 amp alt as well on mechman's website. Thanks for the help!

If you aren't solely competing you really don't need to worry about box rise. there are a few factors though. Use the least amount of speaker wire and terminals as possible. Running speaker wire straight through the box to your amp would help a little bit. Also, smaller boxes tend to have less rise.

Yes they can be. I was going to suggest tuning around 32 hz for daily if you listen to rap. Especially if you listen to slowed music. but 4.2 would be fine.

What type of music do you listen to mostly? are you going for music or spl?

put a plastic bag in the area that needs sealed. spray great stuff inside bag until its tightly filled. problem solved. perfect seal with no mess.

i might upgrade because it is going in my 2003 tahoe and i dont think it could ever be loud enough haha. Lol I feel ya man. I drive an 03 tahoe too. I thought my 2 18's that I just put in would be loud enough. Now, I'm preordering 6 18's tonight!

If you're not planning on upgrading or adding another amp, CCA wire would be fine for your application. That will save you quite a bit of money.
