  1. There are far too many things to consider when answering this question. After extensive experience with many amplifiers I can say that some are just weird, some amps really shine with certain considerations such as impedance, input voltage, power supply input voltage, etc changed to their liking. Amps are finicky like RAM. Interested to see what Tony has to say but that's my 2 cents.
  2. This is why we need an appraisals section.... I would start them at $200-225ea + shipping or half shipping if you want them gone.
  3. Got my IA 20.1 today, what a monster, pics in the amp guts sections. Gotta love a Zenon powerhouse!

  4. Steve, your issue is bandwidth on your wireless network. None of those "black boxes" you can buy at Best Buy will really cut it alone, you need your router directly connected to a gigabit switch with enough wireless access points connected to that switch to cover the area you are looking to. You can eliminate the need to run more than one wire to any wireless access point by purchasing a PoE enabled switch and PoE enabled access points. Have a networking guy you trust do the job, you won't regret doing it right.
  5. Yah my stock alt has charging problems, 1k RPM+ it does not matter. The alt is trash, the copper wires inside have turned black and it sounds like it has sand in it.
  6. Sounds awesome, I'd love some gun porn if you can be bothered to make a thread. If you could build an AK that is 6.5lbs loaded that still looks stock (or close to) I'd pay good money for it since I was on a mission to lighten up one of my SKSes but couldn't really do it without getting too tacticool so I settled on a new barrel. Any plans for a .45 ACP suppressor? Seems like it would be a hit with all the 1911 owners everywhere on the damned earth, and .45 is a pretty low velocity round by its very nature. Also wondering how duracoat holds up compared to a traditional blued finish? I've never seen a duracoated gun in person and actually held/used it.
  7. OK cool, was wondering why I hadn't heard much about DC lately.
  8. It makes it to 13v by 800rpm and up. It used to charge at 14.4, I'm pretty sure the regulator is bad. Don't care, it's going in the trash lol. I idle at 500rpm and it used to hit 14.4v there too.
  9. Just bought a 270 amp DC Power inc. XP alt on CACO for my '99 Jimmy (stock 100a alt is going out, only getting 12v idle SYSTEM OFF) and I noticed that I don't see a lot of people on here running them. How do these alts perform? I've never even owned an HO alt before.
  10. I ran my cable under my car as well, just make sure to grommet/strain relief it when it comes through the inside and zip-tie it up underneath the car with some factory cables running to the back. That way you know it is out of the way of anything that might damage it.
  11. Yep, double boxing FTMFW! I save all my retail boxes for audio stuff/PC parts or whatever commodity items I purchase and do just that when I ship them out to a new home. Have never had a complaint.
  12. If you look at the N2 and N3 you may notice the N3 has one more neo magnet on the motor. They have a little more motor force and power handling. Craziest daily driver ever.
  13. I only brought up SS ammo because you mentioned it, I was agreeing with you hence "is a must" instead of "ya bro liek you need subsonicz!" I was surprised that for once someone knew what it was. As far as the lifespan that's pretty awesome, any drawbacks to such long lasting designs?
  14. I wouldn't know, my mids and highs aren't worth more than my vehicle.
  15. Subsonic ammunition is a must for shooting anything that isn't integrally suppressed and even then it helps. I wouldn't leave a can on your gun permanently, they do have a limited lifespan. You do realize that Bigsix is a gunsmith of sorts... Also the can life span is becoming less and less of an issue... I know a feel people who have 10K plus rounds through their cans with no adverse reaction... I've never had good results after a few thousand rounds, but if you can build one that lasts that's awesome!

  17. They sound like nothing else you will ever hear.
  18. Burr Brown manufacturers the components used to construct the DACs and sometimes various other parts of high-end audio equipment. More common in the Head-Fi and Studio audio world to see the name come up.
  19. Now that I think about it, the average basket already has tapped holes in the bottom of it... hmm
