Ok so I have now got a design for 2 DD 9518's. I have people telling me the woofers will have a hard time being that they will kind of choked would you say? Well anyway the design is for daily and SPL. It is tuned to 37hz, has 12.5 cubes and 205 square inches of port area. This will go in a 1998 corolla. How do you think this design would be for them? ***Below is the design.

upgrading RAM on MacBook
Sketchup replied to FroznBeavrBALLs's topic in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
Yeah I'd go with them, the ram that they are going to want to put in is going to be more expensive most likely. I personally would go with their ram, that way if it were to be defective or have any problems, they're left with the responsibility of fixing it. -

My dad had a macbook pro, he just ordered the new ram and went to a apple store and had them do it. I say just let them do it just to be on the safe side cuz you dont want to screw up on them, expensive mistake. -
how to poop at work.

Its a good idea, but don't poop in locker rooms, then I whole place smells terrible. My schools locker room is terrible mostly because guys shit all the time in there -
His amp is probably not every efficient, let alone not even a true 1,200 watts. As a general idea some people use is 80a- about 800w, 4x30a- 1200w, ect. its not completely accurate. Some amps dont have external fuses, only on the bigger amps really. Just an example of an amp that isn't true power, a soundstorm ssl something or other, has 2200w rms at 2ohm, the damn thing has 2x 25a fuses. The amp turns out to be about a $100, now you tell me, thats a piece.

Buying an amp for them will only let you run them louder without them distorting, you will be fine running it off the headunit, I'm not sure how you listen to your music, loud or whatever, but if you love your bass get the sub and a mono block first before you get the speakers an amp. You can go either way but I think you'd be happier with the bass sooner that those extra watts on the speakers

Dude personally being in the same boat as you (16yr) I must say that buying off friends or some used is not a bad Idea. Ditch that power acoustik and fli stuff honestly. One of my friends went that route, told him not to and his sub is really not that good at all, sounds baaaad (not bad as). I got into car audio probably 6 months ago, have been addicted ever since. Over time by just looking at stuff and taking advice from other people I learned a lot. You get what you pay for, I see people learn the hard way all the time. Everything in my signature is used except my headunit. I paid about 200 for the hu which is beside the point, but I paid $475 for my amp, sub, box, and wires. Everything works great and is in very good condition. Now I must say its very reasonable and I really enjoy it after all it is my first setup. I plan to maybe go with 2 18's eventually, The jist I would say is try seeing if any other guys at school are in need of some quick cash, thats how I did it, then you get steal prices. My amp for example, $350 brand new, got it $175, the guy needed money fast.
