mustang electrical issues
b-dubs89 replied to KnockinthaStreetzof608's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
connections ? start out with the simpler things , if connections are good , could possibly be the solenoid or many other things . -
never had the infinity speakers but all the other speakers i have had never really shined until i amped them with at least 40 watt rms per channel . i have currently alpine type s 6.5 components and and coaxial speakers and if you can get a deal they are an ok value . http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_27143_JL-Audio-C3-650CW.html here's a bit of a deal , but they are out of stock other wise i would have bought these . i also would be willing to give rf a try , i have read elsewhere that the infinities scream on deck power . if it were me i would really plan on running an amp for mids and highs .

is there anyone here who has gotten something via ups freight , i am expecting some cv xls-215's monday and i am not sure if i need to have a friend hang out to help me get them off the truck or if the driver will get them off , or how exactly this will go .

2 farad capacitor
b-dubs89 replied to lytesson's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
really any battery will improve your electrical reserve , if you could fit a 2nd batt under the hood and wanted to go cheap and add another stock batt that would be an improvement . i was reading a thread last week guy was saying what a noticable difference there was from adding a very small batt . if you are looking for a batt to put in the trunk or cab you should look for sealed spill proof batt . but really any battery you add should help . in my opinion -

connecting a batt would be the same as connecting a cap connections wise which 1 would be better i still haven't formed my own conclusion . i have used a street wires cap with my mrp-m500 amp and noticed an improvement in sound quality and my alternator gauge quit dipping so much . after spending some time reading on smd i am looking at batteries , i am thinking i will run a batt and a cap . if you do buy a cap don't buy boss or some other no-name shit , the old saying of you get what you pay for holds true . i would buy a streetwires cap again , or anything wireing from rf , stinger don't look bad ether -
Subs powered by what?
b-dubs89 replied to donovanl12's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
never seen 1 of those , i would like to have for my collection though . mythbusters built something similar in principle to that except it ran off the drive shaft of a mercedes diesel car and had a 5 foot cone -
NEED TO VENT

i think jeep is like any other auto company , they have done some great things and some not so great things . my opinion is that it comes down to a matter of taste . i don't mind chevrolet but my best friend wouldn't be caught dead with 1 . different strokes for different folks . if you like it, my advice is to keep your jeep , take care of it . fix it improve it and so on .this way you will know exactly what you have got . i have been there trying to sell a vehicle for a fair price being %100 honest and fourth coming only to have some dick-weed shit out the mouth about my vehicle and ultimately not buy it after low ballin the piss out of me .just don't hardly seem worth dealing with all that bull . -
x2 plan on replacing the boss amp , even if you can it to bump or sound ok it won't last . the cheap models of pioneer head units are not bad at all for the money , from the last couple years . another thought for you is when you go shoping for a head unit crutchfield will give you the mounting kit and wire adapter if you purchase a deck for $130 or more .

would like to buy a cheap oscilloscope to set amp gains and evaluate pre-amp level signals . would like to find something in the $100 range but i realize that might be a tall order so i would be willing to spend more if i had to , so let me what you have if you have a spair scope you want to sell . thanks . pm or reply to this post . as of now i think i found a tpi440 thankyou

just to update i got the cv-900 today and it definitely drives my big vegas better than my theater amp did , but i think i was expecting a little more .the amp isn't the cleanest i have ever heard but it isn't offensive to my ears most of the time . i have a tripp lite power conditioner coming and i am hoping that will improve things a little . the bass was making my vegas start walking quite a few times
