  1. edit: ^haha i really liked pantera. id call them hardcore, not this bullshit devil wears prada shit. Phil was a badass, my dad was their FOH engineer for a while, said he saw phil knock some jackass in the crowd in the mouth with the bass of a mic stand. i cant stand that shit. theres nothing hardcore about some fag in some jeans to small for his sister to fit in flailing around like a fucking moron screaming his ass off. i can handle a little bit of screaming in a song, like a day to remember's new album. they sing for the most part and scream some, i can tolerate that but i want to be able to understand whats being said. and look at the stupid shit going on in the audience, wtf is that?
  2. damn $5 a pop for the tweeters? got a pair of mids and possibly a pair of crossovers to go with them and make a 4 ohm load so i can make a set of components.
  3. great guy, easy to work with, great communication, quick shipping, would def. buy from again
  4. id go for the pro, its not that badly priced and an amazing product.
  5. wow its been a couple years since you built that thing? seems like i was watching that build a few months ago. id like to have it, but shipping from sac to here would be ridiculous.
  6. second skin, great company, great product, great customer service.
  7. he could do a couple level 1's and be way better off than the infinities.
  8. how hard is it to install the keyless entry? i might be interested in getting that.
  9. damn yall got some nice ass buildings out there. i only wish our shop was that nice.
  10. damn, if i wouldve saw this earlier it woulda been mine
  11. i want some of that money
  12. i thought northwest florida was the only place with idiots like that. everytime im on the interstate there's some jackass in the left lane going 60-65
  13. i got a guy that might be interested, he's been looking for a p1000 ill let him know.
  14. thanks man thanks, and thanks for the tip, will def. clean it off when i do the doors. theyre on the way, still tweaking a little with the amp. you know i thought about that after i drilled the 1st hole, but it def. helped out, no flexing issues anymore, before the baffle looked like jello at anything under 35hz. i ended up knocking the subs out of phase at the head unit, but it sounds awesome, a little boomy around 70-80hz, but i crossed it over at 63hz with a 12db slope and it helped round it off nicely. its got awesome response time, plays down to 24hz with no problem, just loses alot of output at anything under 30hz (little disappointing, but it gets low for being tuned at 34hz. thanks man. haven't put it up anywhere else yet, but i will once i get the doors deadened (this week). the damplifier pro sticks amazingly well and its extremely easy to work with, thanks for the free razor and the spare blades, really helped out having it (especially when i couldnt find my other one).
  15. Double baffle cut. I just got a router and don't have a circle jig or a cutting bit so no flushed woofers yet. My boy bein a dumbass. Lots of glue used on it. Got the nylocks on the allthread flushed in though. In the front of the port. Back of the port. Back of the box. Back in it's home. More to come.
  16. I've been around pro audio for my whole life, so I thought I'd integrate a little of it into my system with a Neutrik Speakon terminal. Female end all soldered up. In the box. Male end all put together. Used some scrap 8gauge for the wiring. (forgot to get pics of it pulled apart) T1k not mounted yet, haven't figured out exactly how I'm doing it.
  17. So I won one of the door packs of Damplifier Pro that Second Skin gave away. I haven't used all of the door pack yet but I deadened my hatch and underneath the hatch where the latch is and I'm going to use the remainder of it on my front doors. In the process of all this upgrading I figured it was time to double baffle my t-line and add some allthread for bracing. The equipment: Alpine CDA-9887 RF T1k (Elite) @ 4ohms RF p450.4 4 channel (yet to be installed) 2 10" RF p2's in a 34hz t-line El Cheapo Pioneer 5.25"s in the dash El Cheapo Pioneer 6.5"s in the rear Optima Red Top EDIT: Forgot to say, the Second Skin Damplifier Pro is AMAZING. Thanks so much ANT! It shipped quick, sticks great, easy to work with and get around corners and whatnot, and easy to cut. I didn't take any pics when I was building the t-line, so all I have are finished pics of it. Here's some pics, there will be more to come of the deadening. To start the day off right, some new toys Getting stuff ready And it was hot as hell so this little guy helped alot. Couldn't get the plastic off the hatch all the way so I said fuck it and worked with it. I didn't want to use all the deadener on the hatch so I just got the bigger, flatter spots and didn't worry about cutting around the wires and lock/latch levers. Around the piece where it latches, lot of small pieces added up to alot more than I thought it would. I put some on my tag but I didn't get any pics of that. T-Line before the reinforcements. Don't mind my crooked cuts, it's sealed up good on every seem.
  18. ken block's videos make me sick, that fucker can drive
  19. i was always told go take like a <$1000 loan from your bank, start small, and pay it off, after that go a little bigger and pay it off and never take too big of one where you cant pay it off.
