  1. You had a problem with mechman alternators also? I remember you saying you had a problem with iraggi alts as well.
  2. Thats always nice when things work out smoothly, ill definately keep that in mind when i purchase my alt.
  3. I got an open container in public one time while i was inside an apartment complex on the stairs. If they come by and you are doing something wrong they will give you a ticket no matter where its at.
  4. I got head unit, 3 amps, 150 ft 1/0 gauge, 150ft 16 gauge, 2 jl13w7's, 3 sets of dls componet speakers, everything nib sitting on the living room floor. I am still building this fucking fiberglass subwoofer enclosure for 2 months lol. This box is taking forever to build and costing a fortune in materials.
  5. I checked and a d3100 will squeeze under the hood. And I would love to run a sperate system but there is no chance under my hood. I gotta get a new DMM my last one suffered a painful death installing the box. But full tilt, were the gain is sposed to be, I dont have enough voltage. And when it gets low enough it will goto protect mode. The gain is set right now were it doesn't get close. Damn you can fit one under your hood, you lucky sob.
  6. Why is this ??? I'm tuned at 22 htz and can hit a 140 db at 28 htz every time I roll next to a termlab ... But aint in a glass box on 300watts with a single sub in trunk Correct me if I'm wrong Yes it's possible but not with his limatation so far Whats wrong with a fiberglass box?
  7. I would go with the more efficent sub if you are only running 300 watts max to it.
  8. Sometimes people get to a fork in the road and need to go separate ways.
  9. I agree with purple syrup, he probably just used your music as an excuse for probable cause to check you out. Maybe you look suspicious.
  10. You have to fuse the amp wire because if your power wire gets a short it could catch the car on fire if it isnt fused at both ends.
  11. Its a good estimate if the amp has built in fuses.
  12. is it this amp? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11599_Boss-CX750.html
  13. 50a fuse max, you will need 4 gauge wire im thinking. 530w is max power that can be run on a class d amp on an 8 gauge wire. http://www.bcae1.com/wire.htm
  14. If the amp is already fused then just install the max fuse rating for the cable you are using, be sure to fuse both ends of the cable also.
  15. Yes it will "work" but it wont sound as good as it would as if you had separate xovers per set of components. The xovers are designed by many parameters; one being impedance. When that changes, the components of the xover should also change.
  16. In the old days alot of trunk cars would run them, like caprices and similar cars. This was probably late 80's early 90's. They called them baffle boards. I remember cars having the expanding foam all over the place in attempts to seal the whole trunk.
  17. They dont put shims under the windows to keep them from falling down?.
  18. You also may want to look into the alpine decks because they actually have a small addon amp that plugs right into the harness of the stereo, I mean if you didnt want to install an amp in the car somewhere. http://www.amazon.com/KTP-445-Alpine-4-Channel-Power-Amplifier/dp/B00142H8UI
  19. Never tried that but should work. I usually just get the red stuff in the 99 cent package on the counter.
