  1. i think what they meant to say is, it is very hard to get close to 18 volts, even with the right equipment. and the gear you have, you most likely be idling at ~14 volts. and i think those optimas are 12V batteries. highest you could possibly run is maybe 16V with some Kinetik HC1600's
  2. soo pretty much what i got from all this is i cant get a meter that is anywhere accurate without spending over $200...
  3. ^^ great suggestion. id love to build that if i had the room for it.
  4. yeah that can work just as well.
  5. dont bother with their subs. hifonics makes decents amps. wouldnt waste a penny on the subs though
  6. how do you know you're getting cancellation?
  7. i got 2 Alpine type R's or an Alpine MRP-M1000. trade?
  8. well i mean batteries don't really "have power" they just store it. so the bigger the battery under the hood wouldn't be a problem.
  9. I'll measure my batt tomorrow but would a 3100 or 3400 be to much> i have NO experience with XS power batteries. i looked them up, and they were out of my budget. the Kinetiks seemed a more economic option but i've seen them stack up against big name brands no problem. and when you say "too much" you mean the dimensions are too big? or too much power? well like socky said, getting the biggest specs would help if you wanted to upgrade down the road.
  10. most definitely. and the dimensions for the HC2000 are 12"x6.5"x8.2"
  11. i really like Kinetik. installed a Kinetik HC1800 under my hood and made a night and day difference. starts my car up faster than my stock battery and i can turn the volume up higher (where as the bass would stop getting louder at ~25 on my stock battery). highly suggest Kinetik! and idk which one, i think you might be able to fit a Kinetik HC2000 if you truck has a large battery bay under the hood.
  12. What about ks series, any reviews? i have had no experience with the KS series but i would imagine so. but i like the DS 6x9 over the KS 6x9 because of the dual tweeter set up. i have the DS35 hooked up on headunit(getting perfect RMS for the small speakers) and i have a Pioneer GM-3400T bridged giving the two DS693 75rms each. and it feels like someone puncturing my eardrum with sound needles when i turn it up!(hurts even at volume 22). that also gives me a total of 6 tweeters in the front. i'm VERY happy with the DS series and would suggest them very much, especially if the OP would amp them!
  13. wanting to upgrade so selling my current system. Alpine MRP-M1000 SOLD! Alpine Type R(SWR-1223d) *note* has everything, just small amounts of sawdust in them. 2 ohm DVC (2Ω + 2Ω) 600rms 1800watt peak. http://alpine-usa.co...view/swr-1223d/ Both the subs and amp are in great condition. subs are still a bit stiff and both have never been abused. asking $280+your shipping obo. (please no low balling) (sorry cant see them name in this one, lighting was bad)
  14. are you looking for a new batterty in the hood or trunk? if under the hood, might i suggest a Kinetik HC1800:)
  15. so i have never measured my system before, but i would to ACTUALLY know how loud it is. i looked the termlab set and it was $650.... that kind of money i don't have. i have an app on my phone that measured dB's but idk how accurate that thing is. is there any alternatives to measuring my numbers? (like a sound meter off of Amazon?)
