  1. damn bro , thats rough ... i cant imagine my dog passing away. stay up man hope to see you at the next show.
  2. does the machine you used to cut out the mdf have a bit to cut aluminum? If so , I say go with a sheet of brushed aluminum! Or maybe just make a template of the wall and have a metal shop cut it out for you. I think it would look bad ass plus I have never seen it done on a wall before.
  3. I put new springs in my buddys 03 TL and it was a breeze, just make sure you have someone to help you out.. you will find yourself in situations where it would be nice to have a second set of hands and some extra body weight.
  4. I threw 4krms to my fully loaded BTL 12" all day and it never gave me any problems. right box , right sub , right amp , right tuning + volume control used wisely = no blown subs
  5. the OS is stored on the HDD, if the HDD goes bad your computer wont be able to find an OS .... plain and simple. Replace the drive and reinstall the OS. Then go from there...
  6. If you didnt just finish cleaning your battery terminals I would suspect something was wrong with the car... but go with the simplest possibilities first. Check voltage at terminals during cranking, check to see if you pulled any wires while cleaning the terminals, make sure the terminals fit snug..
  7. shoot some carb cleaner at it and see what it does... but other then that i would try acetone , lacquer thinner , mineral spirits or paint thinner.
  8. haha thats pretty clever , I am seeing more and more of these now
  9. Sounds like your clipping... how did the shop set your gains? Read the sticky on gain settings and see what that does. why is this in the sq section?
  10. I used to run a 12" version of that MB sub , it was alright for what it was, sounded decent enough.
  11. Scott Buwalda did that to his amps , check out his bad ass presentation while getting judged .
  12. I heard a pair of Seas Lotus Reference mids the other day and they were very very impressive.
  13. I have my setup grounded very similar to that and it works great, just make sure everything is tight and your battery / distro are secured to the car.
  14. draw a wiring diagram , take pictures of what you did and post em up! It will be easier for us to help you if we see what you have done.
  15. make a drawing of how its wired and post it up. On the dome light there should be two wires , one negative and one positive . meter them to see if the 12v goes away when the door closes. So door opens, light turns on , door closes light turns off. So what you did was cut the +12v wire , one end goes to one part of the switch and the other end goes to the other part of the switch..right? so when the door is open the 12v needs to go through the switch before it goes to the bulb, if the switch is turned off then you wont get any light. I dont understand what you messed up? Where is the 12v coming from that keeps the light on all the time?
  16. glad to see this is getting handled , how long does it take for the rings to be made once the order is submitted?
  17. what are you trying to accomplish with your system?
  18. I would take the amp out of the car , hook it up straight to a 12v source and see what it does with nothing else hooked up to it other than power , ground and remote . If it does the same thing .. its time to take the amp apart and inspect it for any visual damage... then time to send it to DB-r !
  19. try unplugging the speaker wire from the amp then giving it a shot , maybe your sub is blown?
