Hey have Jeep Commander here 3.7 motor. Had same issue here. Do big 3 run 0 from alternator straight battery. Do no upgrade the other wire that goes to pcm in front behind battery. You will need to also run 0 Ground to engine also for alternator on this vehicle. Run 0 ground to battery also. You also will need extra battery also. I installed XS Power D3100 in mine. This will stop it from dimming. Do you have 160 amp alternator?

Every tweeter in my system has a 1.5 fuse to protect from blowing. Cheaper to replace a 1.5 amp fuse then to replace tweeters all the time. Install on the positive side of speaker wire, before your crossover.

I have used light bulbs to protect tweeters but be aware the bulb will get hot and luminate everytime it powers up. Did not like having lights on and off under dash. Try using a 1.5 amp fuse works better and safer. Been doing this for 30 years. Yes old school here. You will have to adjust ampereage of fuse. Highest amperage I have used is a 2 amp.
