if the box is "traditional" LxWxH /1728 is your best bet. if its a truck box and has an awkward shape you have to approach it slightly different -Drew

i like them for charging systems that are solid. good alt with a good bat or two, plenty of electrical support and a cap will be positive. your not going to gain any benefit if your using it as a battery- you'll be sadly disappointed -Drew
