Marine Audio in a car?

I have seen marine subs, components, amps, head units, etc., and I have wondered if these accessories are usable in vehicles? I know NOTHING about boats/water crafts so I have no shame in asking..

ive heard there way louder than normal components since they have to deal with sounds of water and boats but have never really seen them installed in a car im sure it can be done tho

theyre all the same stuff except the marine stuff is water resistant in most cases, and the electronics have a salt tolerance.

like marine speakers you can mount outside your car because they are made to be able to get wet and not be damaged.

Hugh G. Rection runs Kicker marines in his doors and they sound awesome. Like they said, it's just the water resistance and stuff that make them marine speakers.

Not only that, they sound way more harsh then car audio speakers.(to cut through wind)

So don't use them, they don't get louder nor sound better or as good for the same price.

And mounting speakers outside the car is just dumb.

Marine audio sounds great in cars I've tons of rockford marine 8" coax's they are phenomenal!!

i have kicker marine in my doors. they get balls loud on head unit power, and still sound great doing it.
