BassHead1990 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 I've seens a ride with 10 10" and it was only doing 147-149 if 2 10's almost equals the cone area of a 15 (ALMOST) thats 5 15" round down to 4 only doing that, and then I hear people say how they got 1 10" or 12" hit 150. It's good numbers and hella sick looking along with the progress of the build, idk I'm just saying.... langsdon2 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 i think thats something people are not thinking about....the frequency. a setup doing 155 at 45hz is nothing like a setup doing a 155 at 30hz. So true, completely different sounds Bang em if you got em
Team_DC-Derrick Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Because it just looks fucking awesome. Numbers are just numbers. A 150 with one 12 at like 40-50 hz isn't the same as 20 10s doing 150 at 25hz. Until you sit in different cars with different setups it's hard to grasp from watching a video or a pic of a number. 1 12'' doing 150 at 20hz is the same as 20 10's doing 150 at 20hz though i i really hope you are joking about the 1 12 sounding like 20 10s at 20 hz.... Op cone area generally = air movement most with alot of subs go for moving air The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... Like 1 10 doing a 145 @ 52hz would sound the same as 20 10's doing a 145 @ 52hz also. BigPimpin91's Banging Music
TeamHT Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 no apparently you can HEAR air movement, lol Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Twistedchild420 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 As stated before...all depends on frequency....my mustang walled with 2 18's did a 153.6 on music @ 45hz......my build with 1 18" on the same amount of power did a 151.1 @ 36hz........the mustang sounded a bit louder...but the 1 18" none walled sounded better and lower....i was impressed.....and that's all that mattered ....basically you just gotta try it all to see what YOU really like...don't do it for others My POS Bass machine-2003 Hyundai Santa Fe on some shitty 22'sBed Liner Paint Job-Pioneer AVH 3200DVD4 DAD BD series 15's in a 4th Order (Bassheads ENT Design)4 Arc Audio XDI2000.1 for the woofers6 Cadence CVL68MBX 6.5's-Cadence CVL88MBX 8's-6 Cadence XT20 Supertweeters2 Arc Audio KS300.4's for mids and tweets1 Arc Audio ALD 10v Line DriverAll Audiotechnix Power wire1 DC Power 270XP High Output Alternator1 XS Power D3400 up front....6 XS Power D3100's in the rearAir Lift 1000 Bags in rear to help with suspensionIf your still reading this GFY.......
