I have had my optima for 5 or 6 years now. I have (2) hifonics bxi2010d..(2) 18" fi btl n1...(1) iraggi 300 amp alt...(2) kinetik 2400w batteries....and not a single capacitor...they are for broke idiots who only want their system to look good and bright and don't give a shit about thief cars Lol Meade's civic had 2 in it and im sure he's not a broke idiot. Caps are great at filling in ripples in voltage and current in a charging system that has enough current to keep up with the demands of your system. Caps do not help an already struggling charging system, though they usually don't hurt it much either. It is a general rule and I am not sure how correct it is. Most people don't need one or won't see any great benefit from one.
