tonedeaf Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Called the only local shop for an hour and a half for prices on some 4 awg and 1/0 power wire because I want to relocate my hood battery and pdb to the trunk. Basically just wanted some decent wire to do it now instead of waiting to order it online. Told him to give me the best he had. He then quoted me for 8.75 a foot of 1/0 awg, and 4 a foot for 4 awg, both monster cable. Needless to say my ass hurt thinking about paying that nuch. Are these really the prices for monster cable lower wire? Surely not... This is one of many reasons why I hate shitty shops. I'm 2 seconds from opening my own. Anyone else have rants about your local shops?

Guy told me those brands couldn't touch the alpine type x or the w7. Then he tried telling me the type x was "only" $440 for me. >.<. You can order them for near half that.

BanginOnABudget Posted February 12, 2011 Report Posted February 12, 2011 Yeah i want to get hired but everyone around here are serious JL nuthuggers, but i did see some t3 subs at one shop, which is kinda cool. im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block.... 1990 Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr. Big-3 in 0g on Stock Alt. That's what is holding back the car audio world I think though...shops pushing shot gear and giving terrible information/advice.
