Whats the best way to run Car Amps in a house?

Recommended Posts

Im going to be moving into my own house soon and i have a few spare speakers and amps layin around that I want to put to use. So I was wondering if anyone knew what would be the best way to go about running power to two amps and a head unit? and the safest most efficient? any suggestion is welcome. thanks

Battery charger and AGM battery is one option

A computer PSU is another option. They come regulated to output 12 volts, but they can be modded to put out power around 15volts

would a battery charger and an AGM battery be a good way to go to use in my bedroom everyday?

get a regulated power supply and batteries. no risk of going over 14 volts. a battery charger can and will if left on. power supplies are what are used in stereo shops for the displays and are on 24/7. the bigger the better. I use a 90 amp supply as a trickle charger for my vehicals just to maintain them or at show between runs etc.

i say buy some power supplys, some of those $25 400 watt ones, and buy as many as you need to get the wattage you want. nothing line a bank of power supplies : D my uncle has 4 500w custom power suppies on an audioque 1200, powering his 4 sony home theatre subs, and shit gets LOUD.

im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire.
