TeamHT
Copy of the pm for others who possibly interested. http://ultimatepapermache.com/paper-mache-clay I'm on my mobile but here is the url to the page I used. I'll snap some pics of my project. It's a NIGHTHAWK. Think of it like...a phoenix. I'll be using the clay to give it the texture I need so I can sand it down and lay some paint. For just regular paper mache I use cardboard, wire, balloons, and Styrofoam to create the body and structure. Then I layer in paper mache. For that recipe I use: 5 parts water 1 part flour 1 bottle of kids elmers glue I boil 4 parts water. While that's going on I mix 1 part water (cold) and 1 part flour in a bowl until it is thick and smooth. Once the pot has boiled pull away from heat let cool down for 10 seconds then slowly stir the flour/water mixture stirring constantly to avoid lumping. Keep stirring until it becomes this thick paste and then put back on the burner and stir for another 30 seconds. Then I add 1 bottle of glue and stir. If you got kids elmers its nontoxic so no worries about using your pots for it. It will come out to this thick white paste which you can let cool. Not too long and then its ready. As long as you place the paste in something airtight it holds its consistency for about 6 days. I seriously had a lot of fun and plan on doing a lot more of this and seeing what other uses could possibly be achieved with this inexpensive but high quality solution. Note: you're not going to want to layer too thick at one time. The paper does need time to dry completely. I have done a total of 15 layers of newspaper on the body. That sucker is tough as shit. I stood on it with no breaks! And you'll want to use newspaper that is torn. The broken edges bond together much better. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you? Blue
There are places to ride out here man. Just got to know where to go. Up off of Gilman springs you can ride quads and bikes all day long. As for Disc Golf(Frisbee golf) I dont believe there are any courses out in our area. The only course that I know of is in Long Beach. I need to start going to the gym again. Lost too much muscle mass. Also, if you want to golf hit me up. Clubs are always ready to go. formerly known as Blue86f150 its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies. TeamHT
I like how people have continually thrown out 4wheeling even though the OP said inexpensive. Obviously he doesn't have a machine, so how would renting or purchasing one constitute as inexpensive? Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you? skittlesRgood
I play around with electronics, mostly stuff I get for free. golf can be fairly cheap. find a used set of clubs if you dont have your own. its pretty fun once you can hit the ball fairly straight lol. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
