97SSBlazer
Looks really nice mayne, and great score! Thanks. Im very happy with it! Whoulda thunk that popping the trunk to figure out why the interiors were cutting out would've resulted in this lol I learned a new trick lol. Makes me wanna buy another Peon and do the same thing with some type R's lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/
97SSBlazer
That's my understanding. I used to have 2 10w1s and tried firing them forward, and I got the same result as you... got loud on anything above 45Hz but lost it's ass on anything lower. I used some "pool noodles" and some old comforters from the garage to seal around the box and it was like night and day. Actually the lows were better than firing towards the rear. This is EXACTLY what happened in my car too, but my box is tuned to 30Hz so I could still play lower than 45Hz., maybe ~38Hz lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/

I thought the 5 12's were loud and they have NOTHING on this. A local friend of mine described it as "speechless". Very nice Thanks man. Warm weather here in MI cant come soon enough! lower tuning is just hard. 97SSBlazer
next to try is a 4th order My car isn't for numbers, Its a ground pounder. If I wanted numbers a 4th order would do work though. I just love the range of my current box It gets LOW too. lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/
Quiet
Dude, 4th orders get stupid low. You probably wouldn't hit 50s, but you'd be in the 40s under 30 hz just sayin. EDIT: Let me carify... OK you can tune a 4th order for numbers, but you can also get them to dig deeper than just a ported box. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
