Everyone at my shop swears by these batteries so I bought 2 Vmax 1000's all wrapped up re-installed lower tuning is just hard. That 18 was violent in my Tahoe on 3300RMS so we will see what it does to my Impala. lower tuning is just hard. I can get my wing to flex like that too, these impalas get loud pretty easily... With 130k miles on the clock, you may want to go ahead with doing a coolant flush, making sure the plugs and wires have been changed, ONLY go with AC Delco as these cars like to misfire with any other plugs/wires, on the 3.8 the UIM/LIM (Upper intake manifold, lower intake manifold) gaskets tend to go bad, and the coolant elbows should be replaced too. If you do a coolant flush, don't re-fill with dexcool, change to the green coolant instead. Otherwise I LOVE the car....you should look around junkyard for junkd impalas with leather interior / heated seats! They're great... First System 2002 Impala LS 3.8L V6, 128,365k miles. Alternator: DC Power 190Amp H/O Alternator Headunit: Kenwood KDC-BT945U. Speakers: MBQuart 6.5" Comps, 6x9 3-way. Amplifer: Eclipse 3322 on front 6.5 components, and a Infinity Kappa One @ 2ohm- 800w Subwoofers: 2 REAudio SRX12D2 wired to 2 ohm. Looked pretty new. Wires have also been changed. Had a cost flush at 93K miles but they used dex. I plan on switching to green though.
