Mods look down on VS. threads here because people usually just nuthug. But I would go with what you can get cheapest, seeing as how both companies are awesome, both in products and customer service.

But let me ask you, do you really want your trunk to rattle?

under construction

I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me.

planning to do a shit load of sound deadening mate, i was merely using the expression. :drinks:. I just wanted to see what people thought of them. If they are all saying they've had good experience with them, just better for me to know im not buying a piece 'o' sh*& that will last a week.

ya, those ^ are stock lvl 3s.

there are new lvl 3s being released soon tho... .

Lmao you didn't even know until i told you.

I prefer the level 3. Here is my reasoning.

1. The SA has a 2.5" coil where as the level 3 has a 3" coil.

2. The SA is made in China. Level 3 is right here in the states.

3. DC is closer to you then Sundown is.

Any questions?

I've yet to see a lvl 3 take over 2-3k daily though, or that power at all

Just saying

Both are good woofers though, I've used both in more than one application

I've put 1200ish to a level 3, with nor problems daily.

^^ did you see the video of the pair of level 3s burping on 8kw each? They were still good afterwards :)

although sa are made in china and dc's are assembled in usa, that doesnt makes them better.

The sa is a better sub imo, mayne the coil is smaller but the cooling is superior.

Ssd wil blow both out of the water, the old atleast, dont know bout the new one, but knowing how fi thinks it should be atleast as good :)

Thinking is the root of all problems...

Why does coil size matter? I'm sure you've seen all these builds with SA subs taking A LOT more abuse than the 3" coil level 3 can.

I would go with the SA 12, since I feel its a much higher quality woofer and can take much more of a beating. It also has flat sewn leads,it has a custom tooled cooling ring, sexy mag boot with Sundown Audio on it, and they are all tested before they ship out on I believe a SAZ 1500 or 2500.
