Scrapmanson
Hey guys, just did my blowthrough with lots of opinions from you and I must say it came out awesome! I'm running 2sa12's on a sundown sax1200d and it really gets down! I know how this stuff goes, we always want more! So is it possible to get more out of this setup by just changing the amp to like the saz1500? I'm not able to add subs per the bed space and limit wife gave me.lol so wondering if mire power would do the trick in the future? Thanks!! hdorre
You probably won't notice an audible difference by switching to the 1500D. illiniboy17
after ohm rise you wouldnt hear an audible difference, you would be better off going to the sax2000d or 2500d, just dont crank your gains up Quote Car: 1995 Thunderbird System: Pioneer deh5100ub HU Pioneer/Lightning Audio 5x7's 1 Hifonics 1610D amp 2 Obsidian Audio 12's 4cu.ft. box tuned to 30hz 8 farad Boss Audio cap 4 gauge power/ground wire Youtube Facebook
Scrapmanson
So are you saying I'm pretty much maxed out with what I have? More watts wouldn't make that much of a difference, even though they are rated at 600 lol
RAM_Designs
Just that much more power won't make a huge difference. The box itself is going to shape the loudness and response curve more than anything else. You might gain 1db, but don't expect anything more. TeamHT
Specs to the enclosure? As stated, maybe a different enclosure will provide a more pleasing response, or allow the drivers to shine on the given power. Honestly I'd look to the AQ2200 Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
