Ya I know DC has better customer service than IA, but I have been meaning to try IA for a while now, I used to have a DC XL 15", and was part of the bandwagon, but now I want to feel how a different bandwagon rides.

Why is it people assume only the cone area is increased with a square shape? Wouldn't the surround also increase?

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

I fucking love your system, i can´t imagine people´s face when they see a pair of 10´s back there, i would stay with the same subs and more power instead :)

i got this out of the cone area thread. so acording to this and what RAM said a 10" square is the same as a round 12"

The cone itself isn't 10"x10", and the Sd is 74.4in^2 for the 10" model.

Based off of Fi's Sd (actual cone area)

10" 48 in^2

12" 74.4 in^2

15" 125.5 in^2

18" 187.5 in^2

Compared to the Pi(r^2)

One 10" = 78.54

One 12" = 113.1

One 15" = 176.71

One 18" = 254.47

SD is the actual cone area. It does not include the surround. The XLs surround is I'm guessing almost 2"s thick. I've never measured mine but it's big. That isn't included in your actual cone area. Thats why SD isn't your perfect 12/2=6x6x3.1=xxxx. It's variant on sub. I say two 12 mayhems and double your power. It's what I wanted to do :( lol
