Ya I know DC has better customer service than IA, but I have been meaning to try IA for a while now, I used to have a DC XL 15", and was part of the bandwagon, but now I want to feel how a different bandwagon rides. TeamHT
@ RAM so square subs have less cone area than round subs? Why is it people assume only the cone area is increased with a square shape? Wouldn't the surround also increase? Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

YOu can see how much cone area each szie sub have.. i got this out of the cone area thread. so acording to this and what RAM said a 10" square is the same as a round 12" The cone itself isn't 10"x10", and the Sd is 74.4in^2 for the 10" model. Based off of Fi's Sd (actual cone area) 10" 48 in^2 12" 74.4 in^2 15" 125.5 in^2 18" 187.5 in^2 Compared to the Pi(r^2) One 10" = 78.54 One 12" = 113.1 One 15" = 176.71 One 18" = 254.47 Quote 12- DC Audio m2Lvl3 12's1- Hertz HSK3 way2- DC5K's2- ZX350.42- Stinger SP1500D batteries in rear3- runs of 1/0ga. to the rearTeam DC Audiodcsoundlab.com Quality is all in how you take pictures I have plenty of projects that look WAY better on camera then in person crazy to fit so many in so little. Robert8252
SD is the actual cone area. It does not include the surround. The XLs surround is I'm guessing almost 2"s thick. I've never measured mine but it's big. That isn't included in your actual cone area. Thats why SD isn't your perfect 12/2=6x6x3.1=xxxx. It's variant on sub. I say two 12 mayhems and double your power. It's what I wanted to do lol Quote 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
