Is this a good begginer build

Recommended Posts

There's so much I want to argue in this thread...lol.

How about a budget? And what vehicle?

i have a honda civic DX 2006 and 500 is my budget

This is all going into the trunk? What were you thinking for an enclosure? Will you be building it?

I honestly would like at two pioneer championships and an audiopipe 1500. Should put you a little above $275. You will need to factor in wires, and possibly wire to upgrade the big 3.

the 2 12's are and the amps too but i still dont have a good stereo

I'ma try my hand at helping you mate :D

(2) Audioque SDC2.5 12" subwoofers Here $139 each

(1) Audioque AQ1200D Amplifier Here $249 each

That would be roughly $500, so you would still have to save around $100 for a JVC stereo you can find at Walmart...

Another option for the amp is a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D, which is Here. It will run you $210, which is roughly $40 cheaper than the AQ amp, but lesser quality. You would still need to save for a stereo, but after that you will be sounding good, much much better than the Boss stuff you wanted.

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

Buy some good 8's and use em as midbass later... It's so crazy it might just work...

I suggest getting any of the pioneer units that have Front Rear and Subwoofer outputs and a rear USB. The USB on mine came with a long extension [the one coming out of the head unit was about 3 inches long] I ran it under my dash and into my ash tray that slides out under my dash. My ipod/a flash drive will fit in the ash tray and I can control the iPod by itself or from the head unit.

Yes, two of the ones posted by kicker and an AP1500 which could be found online for $137-$150. Still will need wire, and headunit is really going to boil down to what features you want. Maybe you'll even have enough to build the enclosure, get some real experience for your "starter system."

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
