I think someone already said this, but there IS a difference between volume level and sound pressure. My car gets CRAZY loud, it will ring your head after about 30 sec, but the sound pressure is not even close to 150. And the guy w/ the L7's gettin 156 in a sealed box - Man, I aint calling you a liar, I'd just have to see it. I have a lot of experience w/ L7's and I love them, but never seen 2 L7 15's do better than a 146 on music - and that was on 4K in 5 cubes @40hz. But I'm no pro, (at least not yet!) But I'd love to see your setup doing' a TL 156 on music. Especially in a sealed box. I would IMMEDIATELY build a big sealed box for mine, as would other people too, I would guess. Hell, I built a box for 1 15" sub and about 1800 watts for an SUV. It did high 146s on music off the windshield, dropped in no testing. It can be done, just takes work. fecupe2001 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Share Posted March 30, 2011 Depends on the box, my first box for the DD 2512´s in the explorer was very good to the ears, on the meter it wasn´t the best, i tried a smaller box and failed TERRIBLE, i tried 1.5 c/f per sub with 3 6" pvc ports, i´m telling you this because after that fail test, i changed the baffle and only used 3 subs, it was 2 c/f per sub and 3 6" ports with a 39 hz tuning, oh my even louder to the ears and on the meter than the 4 subs box!!! This shows you, that everything it´s possible if you know what you are doing, i didn´t on my first box haha, now i do, same happened when i used 3 10´s in the swift, after finding the best box size those subs liked and subs/ports directions, anything that i got in that car was loud as hell!!!
