sprkn_ranger
I use mobile one and Fram extended life filter. And I would use 5/30. Oh and every other oil change I like to use Lucas oil stabilizer. I've heard royal purple is really good but never have used it myself. B Slaps
i dont think thats super necessary. i would do mobile 1 synthetic and a regular filter if you plan on changing it every 3k or 5k miles. dont waste your money on an expensive filter. i use car quest brand cause its made by wix. car quest synthetic oil is also made by mobile 1. synthetic oil change for myself is about $25 I Rock 4 Doors 4 More Whores! toadking90
since i have had my truck.(2 years now) i have used nothing but full synthetic. i have used castrol mobile one and Valvoline. gas mileage is a lot better with full synthetic. but as far as what brand i think it comes down to who can give you the best price. average price for a full change for me going from wal mart to the valv shop is 75 to 85. i recently spoke to the ford dealership and one lady at the counter comes into my job(shoe store) a lot and said since we take care of her.(one of my other managers gives her discount) she will take care of us. her cost will be 55.!!! i was like SWEET. so i don't know if fords oil is "better" cause they all come from the same place just packed different. she gives the best price so i will be going there for now. just my two cents. talk to some people get some prices ask for discount. devil4u2c
Fram filters are crappy filters, Wix makes good filters, also the Napa filters are quite good. I use Valvoline Full synthetic in my car.
