Has anyone ever had a virus which didn't allow you to access certain websites?(I'm not talking about blocking websites as an Administrator would) Or if you clicked on a link it would redirect you to a different website? I was unable to access SMD from my home computer due to this and finally removed whatever was causing this. Just trying to find some input that way I can prevent from this happening again.

Common sense, use a good anti-virus like AVG Free, NOD32, Avast!, stop some services on your computer from Administrative Tools such as Remote Registry (seems like a dumb-ass idea to include with Windows), change name of default Administrator account (one made while installing Windows, only accessible in safe mode), disable guest account or change name of that, put a password on all user accounts such as Administrator and guest. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Night!

Lately there have been some very aggressive viruses going around. I had one that would let me access the net, or shut down my computer. Gave me 220+ spywares all at once.

My bro just had one that wiped out his system files & had to reinstall windows. We both have pretty god anti-vir's too...

Oh, & P, you know that's out of the question! :D

lol. No way.

I installed another Anti-Virus program-my brother had removed it. I also removed him from Administrator he lets just about anyone use his user account. Well at least it's running great again with no problems.
