witch sine wave to use 40hz,50hz,or 60hz

i have been reading on how to set the amp gain using a multi meter and the test cd but i have read three different thing 40,50,and 60hz what one do i use to set the sub-woofer amp gain.

most i have heard of is a 50-60hz sweep

60hz will clip faster than 40 and 50hz tones, that's why you should use 60

It all depends on the amp which you are using.

But the difference from what level 40 or 60hz starts clipping should be really small.

Some amps clip more at 40hz. :peepwall:
