Team808
1st of all dont use a resistor .2nd you need to have all the ign wires and accessory wires hooked up ,If you t-tapped them ,make sure its a good connection. Also make sure you have a good ground, ground in the kick panel area.Once that is completed then try and remote start it,all the light on the dash should come on,just like when you start it with the key. If the vehical starts and then shuts off after a couple of seconds, then you need to look into the passlock system. Also setting the r/s to voltage will not work as good as running a tach wire.Dont be lazy ,do it right the 1st time. Also i would not t-tap power and ign wires.what you want to do is strip the insulation away from the wire ina spot about 1 inch, then stick a little screw driver inbetween the wire splitting it making look like an eye. Then strip your wire from the r/s back about 1 inch.Take the wire and put it through the eye ,wrap it around .Squeeze the wires together with pliers ,Solder the wire if you want. Then tape it up.You can also use a little wire tie ,to tie the wires together to insure they will not come disconnected.Let me know if you need any more help.
