Putting things in perspective.. how small we really are

Recommended Posts

I just found this image and thought it was kinda mind blowing when you actually see the size difference between the biggest planets/stars in the solar system. We would literally be a speck of dust compared to the largest know planet.

Hmmm Atleast we're scalable to the largest planet in the vid, Jupiter, but it seems after it shows the Sun, they're all stars at that point...

Does anyone know of larger planets out there than Jupiter?

thats insane ive never even heard of most of those

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

Yes, dozens. All of the first extra-solar planets discovered were Jupiter sized and larger.

There are even failed stars that have become very large planets. They may even be rogue and not be any where near a solar system.

I'm sure there's billions out there... I was just hoping someone was gonna drop a name. Here's to the Wikipedia :drink40:

Well Gliese 581 is a "Super Earth" A planet much like the make up of earth but much larger.

I dont know the names of the planets Jupiter + sizes. Most probably have a number. Id have to look them up.

In the first post image, all objects larger than Jupiter are Stars.
