95pimpalass
do some searches on 6th order bandpasses. say 6th order bandpass enclosures are tuned by both the front and the rear volumes by vents........... so this is a 4th order bandpass.... , but thanks..... LSN2meBoom916
do some searches on 6th order bandpasses. *4th order, only ported on one side. say 6th order bandpass enclosures are tuned by both the front and the rear volumes by vents...........so this is a 4th order bandpass.... , but thanks..... correct. Magnet rust and corroded terminals ARE all the RAGE these days. Grooooooooooosss. I would def vote for a rebuild by a pro installer...or at least one who knows better than siliconing surrounds like that...eeewwww. badasschevy
i was just as discusted as you guys are. that system has more problems than just the enclosure, the power wire was ran through the fender into the door jam. the ground cables had no ring terminals, they stripped the wire enough to wrap it around a bolt. i'm surprised it even worked and didnt burn to the ground. now i'm waiting on my friend to see what he wants to do. david in germany
. the cones are seperated from the surrounds. From what I have seen this not so uncommon with the Alpines.. I have seen 3-4 other pairs that did the same thing. Kinda sad that they didn't coat the box with something when it was installed, at least a coat of resin on it or something
Wkbdkid
i told him we need to rip it out and start over. the cones are seperated from the surrounds.so he needs to find new subs, and make the new enclosure to withstand the elements. he doesnt want a tonneu cover. Doing a blow thru an not puttin a tonneu cover on is screammin steal me, but that could jus be me.
