Jmoney2544
i was gonna use this wire from front battery to back battery and it needs to be fused on each side. it says it supports up to 375 amps at 20 feet so should i put a 375 amp fuse on it? hdorre
If you can find a fuse like that, I'd go for it. If not, just get a 350A fuse Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
blownengine
Agreed. 375 would be a wierd number. I think its better to fuse a little below the rating anyway to be safe. Robert8252
Just for a AQ2200? Just fuse it at 250. No need for more then you're going to draw. audiofanaticz
You can find some 500amp fuses on ebay... Fuse on both ends 12" away from the battery. DONT LISTEN TO THIS ADVICE! THIS IS BAD ADVICE BECAUSE A 500AMP FUSE WILL TAKE AT LEAST A CONSTANT DRAW OF 600+AMPS FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE IT BLOWS, BY THAT TIME YOUR CAR WILL ALREADY BE ON FIRE! Just for a AQ2200? Just fuse it at 250. No need for more then you're going to draw. x2! For 2200wrms you could even get by with a 200amp fuse! Also after impedance rise, you will never see 2000rms anyways. Not to mention if you have a rear battery your never going to draw that much current from the front.
Bumpindemlowzz
I dont mean to threadjack or anything but if hes hooking up a 4 channel and that amp wouldnt he need a 350 amp fuse if the mono is calling for a 200 amp fuse and the 4 channel 120 or so? thats if hes hooking up both amps at back batt.
