MRP1000 are pretty much bulletproof. 145s with 2 R12s and a mrp1000 pretty easily done

I wouldnt even touch an AQ or worse yet a POS hifonics in comparison to the MRP.

Alpine MRP1000 over the AQ1200d? :trippy: :trippy: Thats just plain nuts. No comparison, the AQ would rock the socks off that alpine. I've owned both, I am speaking from personal experience. They were not on Type R's though. Had them on some BL 12's

Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD | Hertz 6.5 | Alpine Type R 6x9 | Custom 200A Alt | Knu Flek 1/0 Big 3 and all wiring | Eclipse EA3422 | AudioQue 2200d | DC XL 12 | Red Oak Box ~2.8 cubes @ 30 hz |

ported always

He may be looking at going for SQ.... in which case ported would not be the best option.

it would not be the best option ..if you dont know how to make a GOOD ported box.

also i dont give 2 shits about what an AQ did on some subs not even in the picture here. Type R's on a MRP1000 all day over an AQ amp.

I'll take an MRP 1000 over a aq1200 all day and a MRP2000 over an AQ 2200 all day long....and yes i have plenty of experience with all the previously mentioned equipment.

Where's my damn bucket of popcorn smiley when I need it...

The MRP will put out 1000w at 2ohm, the Aq would probably put out somewhere near 800w. The Aq would more than likely be cheaper, and both amplifiers would work well.

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

i see the mrp for 270 with free shipping online ..since thats where he will get the AQ is online...after shipping they are about the same price also the MRP does 750 at 4ohm so after rise/shift your going to get more out of the MRP then the Audioque any way you look at it.

Sorry if im coming off with all these questions, just want to get my set up right the first time... but should I get another say 350w amp for my 2 Alpine SPR-60C speakers or can I run them off the HU. Or would that plus the 2 type-rs and the amp be too much for my stock battery and alt for my 07 honda civic
