carlosg_313 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 i tried building a box for myself, and i ended up making the shittiest cuts i ever thought i did. my question is what you guys would use to make straight cuts without being being 1/8 off. i do not have a table saw and i do not have a panel saw either. just a circular saw and a jig saw for straight cuts. i had a T-ruler with some clamps and still, the cuts came out uneven. any inputs would be great. thanks How do the Japanese feel about bass? You know that since 03/11/11 Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN. They said it makes your junk shrink all up. lol.im pretty sure the op wont even notice if it gets even smaller. Refs - Pstone11, porksoda, coleman
jjbsk8r Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 What I use for longer cuts is a long level, or you could use that t-square, any straight edge will do and you just clamp it down and just run your blade guard against the straight edge and you will have straight cuts every time.
Sanitarium Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Nice dark but thin pencil line and practice. All I use is a circular saw and jig saw. No makeshift fence, just a good straight line.
Swaggasaur Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 if you dont have a table saw or anything that helps you with straight cuts, it really comes down to just practicing and getting better as you do more boxes BHE Wall Build TEAM DC Audio TEAM XS POWER1986 Monte Carlo KMC Nova's 20"4 DC XL's W/ PSI Recones2 DC 5k'sPioneer PRS 8010 Audio Technix 6 XS Power D3100's 1 XS Power D3400 Mechman 220a Alternator

fecupe2001 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 jigsaw for me when i have the wood laying around somewhere and i only need a single piece or something, but i ussually prefer to take the sheet to a buddy´s store and pay him something like 1$ for a few cuts on his table saw, way easier and faster I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
