Should i invert my subs?

one way you can make sure you mount the inverted sub correctly is to drop the sub in "normally" and draw a circle around the outside of the sub. then flip the sub over and line it up and screw it down.

So your saying to draw a line around the gasket and then when you flip it around line up the line with the gasket while flipped upside down?

DEFF flip the gasket. One side is made to seal and the other side is made to look pretty.

Well i wont know this until the sub actually arives at my door LOL. I think i want to invert them

I don't believe anyone said anything about reversing the polarity of the sub.

Try hooking up the sub normal (positive to positive and negative to negative) but most likely you will need to hook it up positive to negative terminal on the sub and negative from the amp to the positive terminal.

When you invert your subs you have to change the polarity.

i read that the only way you have to change polarity is if you have say 3 subs 2 normal one inverted you would change the polarity of the inverted one not soley becouse its inverted but so that all 3 subs move in the same direction. as long as your running just one sub or multiple subs inverted you shouldnt have to change polarity. as long as all subs are the the same polarity shouldnt need to be changed

i said no because when i tried inverting my sub on the same box that i had, wasnt just as loud as had it normal, but it sure looked sexy. if you dont care about sound, do it. but if you still want to sound the same as it did when you mounted normally, making a new one for the inverted would be better i think.

You can do it, sometimes it is beneficial, sometimes it's not.

Most hu have the option to 180 the signal...also some amps do too...

Thats why I told him to try it hooked up normal first. Then try it with the polarity switched.
